It was actually described as a "fracas"

another publicity stunt anyone? He doesn't seem to be able to go a week without being in the news

I can't understand all this national treasure rubbish. Be it Clarkson or Stephen Fry, before come over as absolute c**ts!

BBC will regret it if they sack him. They would lose millions of viewers. I love Clarksons humour, very dry.

I like him too, my Mrs hates him because she thinks he's being serious ffs .

Steve Coogan was spot on when he said Top Gear's racial jokes are ''about as funny as a cold sweat followed by shooting pains down your left arm''.

To be fair to Clarkson though he's not the biggest tw*t on the show, Richard Hammond come on down.

I was actually gutted Hammond didn't die in that accident.

He's gone too far up his own backside really. Prime slot, great programme, not grateful, thinks he's more important than he is.

Hey diddly ho.

And I have to say Freeman, that's a f****** horrible thing to say mate.

I don't watch Top Gear thesedays tbh, i do find Clarkson funny the way he says anything at any moment and gets the shock effect, but i ay surprised he has been suspended tbh, wouldn't surprise me if the BBC want to find a way to terminate his multi million pound contract like Sky did with Gray and Keys.

They did a sketch about Peugeot a couple of weeks ago which was just the most painful viewing that I've seen in a long time. I think it may have run its course.

If you don't like the show don't watch it. Unfortunately that's something too complicated for some minds

I think Clarkson is an arse but Top Gear is an entertaining show so I hope it doesn't get cancelled permanently. Hopefully this is just a kick up the arse for Clarkson so he doesn't over do it in the future. I think he's gone too far with his "bad boy" image (or "bad middle aged man" image), the shows good enough and so is Clarkson not to go overboard with the unneccessary trying to insult everyone thing he has going on

I think Clarson is fantastic he's a funny guy who overplays certain character traits to play the role he does on TG. I don't always agree with him and I don't always like what he does/says but the same could be said of just about anyone including my best mate and my wife.

I don't get this need to dislike certain public personas, if you don't like him, ignore him, he's only an entertainer. Personally I dislike all characters created by Ricky Gervais butI have no dislike for the man and actually found him really funny when presenting the Golden Globes. It's the same for pretty much all celebrities.
