Great start to the season for MCWFC ~ :005:

Manchester City Women moved to the top of the WSL 1 table as they beat an Arsenal Ladies team who played for more than 75 minutes with 10 players.

It was live on BT Sport and they did pretty well, our new signing Ross scored with a cracking header, but the arsenal were a bit tasty in their tackles and i though the ref was lenient and they should have had a few yellows, perhaps he thought they should get the benefit of the doubt after having sent off one of theirs being the last defender when fouling one of our players.

We deserved the win with City having to defend on occasions but Arsenal in the end were looking for a draw. Our second a penalty wasn't if you know what I mean, but we should have had a penalty for hand ball, so swings and roundabouts. Toni Duggan set up the first robbing the Tarquins full back who should have cleared it but decided not too and Duggan clipped a cross to Ross who headed home. 2-0 and a good days work, a decent crowd, but not full as The Womens team hit the top of the table 2 games 2 wins, 2 clean sheets
