Manchester City U19s host their Liverpool counterparts this afternoon at the Academy Stadium in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals.

Extra time and penalties will be used if the score, after 90 minutes is a draw.

Could City make history?
I intend to watch the game on BT. Anyone else?

Come on CITY!

Thanks for the heads up T. I'll watch the first half on my lunch. May take an extended toilet break after lunch to get some of the second half in.

Liverpool dominating the first ten minutes, without really threatening.

City can't string two passes together, so far.

Liverpool working very hard to press when we have the ball, but we are starting to deal with it.

No real chances for either side, yet.

Liverpool 1-0 City

Good work from Liam Miller. Cross deflected and passed into the net.

Terrible challenge on Nmecha, right on the edge of the box. Second yellow for a Liverpool player.

Excellent save from Grimshaw - makes up for giving the ball away three times in the first fifteen minutes!

Thanks for the updates Hominid :026:

My chores have now been finalised albeit at a rush. Now I can sit down and watch the second half.

Come on CITY!

The lads have taken the game by the scruff of the neck and dominate. Just need to score.
