Thoughts?

I wouldn't give any of them higher than a five. Silva and Aguero probably our two worst individual performances.

Aguero? No support what so ever, no telling passes to him. You can feel his frustration.
Dare I say it? Djeko would have given something. Sterling out.
I cannot find any praise for the lad, easily knocked off the ball. Looking exactly like he was for 3 months before we signed him. Rather give his place to one of the young lads.
The problem is we're all wishing him to come good and it aint going to happen.
In the cup final, notice Silva holding his head in his hands when Sterling missed the sitters.
I rest my case.
Oh for a young Nigel De Jong in that midfield!!!

Aguero was shit Rossi, kept trying to do it all himself when he had City players in space around him, invariably ran into blind alleys and lost the ball.

Sterling was no worse than anyone else out there despite getting the shit kicked out of him every time he got the ball.

£49m could perhaps benefit from spending a little less time making sure his beard trimming is perfectly symmetrical and a little more practicing his finishing.

If he is getting the shit kicked out of him he needs to 'man' up and put himself about a bit - it's a contact sport.

Or perhaps he could hope to be treated the same way by refs in a City shirt that he was in a Liverpool shirt?

Afraid we're going to have to disagree BD. At one time he had 4 red shirts around him and not one blue running to him to give assistance.
Sterling gets the proverbial knocked out of him and it will happen every game until he learns to lean on some of these players and give it back.
Depending on your age, I remember Peter Barnes being a phenomenal winger until fullbacks learnt that you could frighten him off with some heavy tackles.
I'd give Barker a bit of a run. Watched a few times with the youth team and although I think he blows hot and cold it should be time to see what some of them are made of.
Admittedly most of us are seeing the bad side of City at the moment and, like Kun, are getting frustrated as well.
The worrying thing for me is the number of points dropped against top half teams.
I just want to see some fight in them.
Couple of young 'uns against Villa?

Aguirre was dispossessed 7 times last night Rossi and had a pass accuracy of 75%. He was woeful mate.

Not sure I can bring myself to watch a re-run of the match BD. His pass accuracy probably reflects the limited support players around him...
Imagine Ribbery and Robben on the flanks for him. Both knocking on a bit but still with pace and guile.
We need younger versions of them. They must be out there somewhere.
Last night I was quietly confident of winning that game, so you can imagine the disappointment of that performance.
VK said before the game "We're coming out hunting..."
So what went wrong with the team talk?

Anyway, water under the bridge now.
BTW. Think the game in hand (Newcastle away) is at the end of the season so we need points on the board fast to make third place. Although we usually do well up there I wouldn't like to think we need a result to qualify, cos the way we're playing this season we'd probably come unstuck.

Right, no more doom and gloom and let's hope the "hunters" are are ready to snare the Villa on Saturday.

He is probably treated no differently now to how he was last season.

There does, on occasion seem to be a sense of outrage any time an opponent goes anywhere near one of our players - it's always been a physical game, Tueart, Hartford, Doyle, Watson etc were hardly shrinking violets.

Having said that I'm glad we're not a dirty side - not that I think there are any in the PL.

The numbers suggest otherwise KCT. From being the second most fouled player in the PL last season he doesn't even feature in the top ten this season.

I have a well known aversion to RS . But allow me a rant .

He is useless .

End of rant

The problem as I see it, is that people keep saying he's only young, give him time etc. And the big one is..."we're making him a scapegoat."
For the life of me, I cannot see RS turning into a superstar. I watch him week in week out, I followed most of his games when I knew City were interested...and I just can't see this lad doing the business.
I hope I'm proved wrong, but don't hold your breath.

We are heading for a major turning point at City.

There is going to have to be massive investment again, far in excess of what has gone before in my opinion, to satisfy PG.

Hopefully in addition to KI , two or three more will catch his eye and save us some money .

But will PG want " Off the shelf" for instant success , or will we use the academy products ?

He's been our most consistent player in CL this season.

He is our third highest scorer all comps and has the second highest number of assists.

I'm sure he was signed with Pep's approval too.

Granted he's had some stinkers but when you consider age, pressure from his price tag, shit performances of the team in general I think he's done fairly well overall.

Plenty of room for improvement but plenty of time on his side to make that improvement.

This is where I will disagree big time .

If he hasn't done it by his age , he won't .

That is also the problem with the academy , get them in the team , one , maybe two at a time and see if they can do it. If not, ship em out.

How old was Kun when he made his senior debut ?

Why not though Seac? He's posting better numbers than Ronaldo at the same age. Spurs were desperately trying to offload Bale because he wasn't doing it for them before it clicked for him.

I don't agree with that statement whatsoever, just look at Skip.

Miroslav Klose is another example.

I don't get why you think he hasn't done it either. He led us on a merry dance on a few occasions playing for Liverpool, like is said above he's been our best player in CL this year and he was arguably England's best player at the last World Cup.

Lies , damn lies, and statistics. England's best player at WC ? Best of a bad bunch .

Bale? Seem to remember him tearing us a new posterior at the Etihad the season before he left for RM .

Ronaldo ? Despite the fact that we all like to call him Christina , even at Utd , he was phenomenal with his control , and his dead ball skills were exceptional . The fact that he tried to beat every man twice was why his statistics dropped. He could also control the ball when it came to him.

RS has a lousy first touch, he can no longer beat his man , unless in acres of space , and the majority of the time , his crossing ( Don't mention the Wembley corner !) is woeful.

What he did for Liverpool is immaterial to his City performances.
