Agreed. Like Fernandinho before him he is under-rated and overlooked. With Ferna is was supposedly eclipsed by Kante, for Rodri it is the likes of Rice that gets the limelight. As long as he carries on doing his job under radar maybe teams will continue to underestimate him.

Hmmm. Not a good look. Not sure what is with him this season - maybe the unsettling rumours pre-season affecting him.
I do know that with his first touch against Chelsea at the weekend he had me shouting “oh FFS” when I saw it.
Ball played to him some 30m from the Chelsea goal, his back to goal surrounded by three Chelsea players and an easy first time lay off available to a team mate. Does he take that option? Does he hell.
No he tries to control the ball and beat all three…..and he promptly loses possession. This happens way too often for my liking and it is these turnovers that Pep is aware of can cause us problems.

One more example of a young man being overused when a much more control in the number of games was required, however this approach at City caused him to leave and seek places that would play him, but he has a top medal or two, good luck to him.
