City Finances

Anyway going back to these numbers, it does all seem quite baffling to be honest.
(And I'm an accountant ?)

Is it the total cost of acquiring new players in a 12 month period, not counting their salaries? So transfer fees to other clubs, signing on fees to the players themselves, fees to any 3rd party agents, loan fees??
Any or all of that? Anything else?
Coaching staff costs too or just players?

It just does seem very high.

No salaries, no loan fees

Just upfront costs that can be written off over the course of a contract - so transfer and signing on fees.

Have to say it was a masterstroke involving DC in this meeting. They were talking about educational opportunities mainly with also discussion about football. With DC having a teaching background, and so eloquent and knowledgable, he was probably the star of the show. Can you imagine someone like Sam Allardyce or Joey Barton doing this ???
