Leicester have had six points taken from them so the table is (excluding goal difference):

Southampton 40 points
Sheffield Utd 39 points
Swansea 39 points
Charlton 35 points
Norwich 33 points
Portsmouth 33 points
Leicester 32 points
WBA 32 points

Blackburn 32 points
Oxford 27 points
Sheffield Wed. - 7 points

I’m not so sure about this . Leicester will now know that with the loss of 6 points that they will have to beat us in February instead of taking it a bit easy on the day with mid table security , but agree Blackburn is must win for us

We have some tasty fixtures this month and next:

Sat 7/2 Blackburn - H

Tues 10/2 Oxford A

Sat 14/2 WBA (FAC) H

Sat 21/2 Birmingham H

Wed 25/2 Sheff Wed. H

Sat 28/2 Leicester A

Sat 7/3 Southampton A

Tues 10/3 Sheffield Utd H

Sat 14/3 Preston N.E. H

Sat 21/3 Charlton A

Fri 3/4 Portsmouth H

So 8 out of our next 10 league games are against teams in the
lower part of the table.

GO CITY! GO CITY! GO CITY!

It's also about our fitness. I still feel we are lacking quality. We lose fisher and it's Stacey...we lose chrisene and it's field....we lose makama or Mclean

Amass said in his interview that his top quality is he is always available as never injured...one week with us and he gets the Norwich city hamstring curse.

We have players to come back but do they add much...schlupp and forson...saying that I could see forson being a player who will improve under PC.

Im just gob smacked that Amass got a hammy last minute of training - we seem to collect these - surely the fitness boffins would have an idea what causes them (over stretching) - they always do stretching exercises to start with so maybe there's some issue with how those initial stretches are done and the effect they have on the tendons that pushes them to their limits, unless like all things murphy like they can just go at any time and age depletes their flexibility. Maybe also they try just too hard to stretch a tackle to reach the ball.

So to the run in

So far in 2026 P15 W11 D0 L4, 45 possible points we've got 33 of them

7 matches to go, 4 home and 3 away

Currently
Portsmouth (H) 10th versus 20th - win
Millwall (A) 4th v 10th - difficult match to predict, we could win it but them we've lost there before
Ipswich (H) 10th v 3rd - this surely will be a cracker and I have more confidence to beat them with PC than LM
Bristol C (A) 16th v 10th
Derby (H) 10th v 8th
Swansea (H) 10th v 14th
Hull (A) 5th v 10th

Above us
City on 54 points,
21 points available
9th Watford 56 - not in our hands
8th Derby 60 - beat them and its 3 points closer but in 5 matches time so a bit hairy fairy and it may be all over by then
7th Wrexham 63 - not in our hands, 9 points gap a bridge too far
6th Southampton 63 GD - missed the opprtunity to close
5th Hull 66 - too far, last game and away, Hull may be having to fight for something.

We havent drawn any in 2026 yet - we may have a couple in this remaining set.

So maximum points for City is 75, only Coventry in 1st place currently have more.

So 6th is the only position we could achieve and only if those above muck up.

I'm getting the feeling that we may be at our final ladder step already, maybe 1 more higher, as those above must be expected to get points from their games.

Although I'm expecting us to win them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
