I've not read a post by you in so long I don't know what you are. I was referring to several posters who are no longer on this site. Having very recently been removed. If your that interested I'm sure one of the others can bring you up to date. Really not always about you.

I got a PM from Chiv saying he was leaving, which I replied to almost instantly - That was never opened.

I agree mate. All because the boorish loud mouths effing and blinding and behaving like key board hard men. With their dull self obsessed agenda. The culture of this site improved over night when they went. It must never be allowed to degenerate like that again. Chiv is missed.

God ur a bit touchy aren't you? I don't think there's anything wrong with a few characters so long as they aren't bullying others. If everyone was nice to each other it'd be bloody boring.
Someone with the inclination can fill you in. If not you will have to take my word for it that euphemisms like "characters" are often hidden behind by people who want to cross the line. The likes of Chiv and many others left the forum as a result. Happily it's no longer the norm here.

Drama. His used to be the case before. A few people have a laugh vs a few people who are square, then a few inappropriate things get said, people threaten to leave, some people do leave and then some get banned. The circle of a football forum. On repeat.
Then I guess it's a case of what you think having "a laugh" is and finding a forum that agrees with you. A sizable majority on here did not agree that was the situation and the culprits got bumped. Unfortunate that several good poster were lost before it happened. Hell there are lot's of other sites out there, I'm sure they are on now wittering on about an all Village people mid-field four as we write (don't ask I won't explain). Just have to go look if that's your thing. :10:

The problem, as always is balancing out characters and their behaviour, and as hard as you try to let posters know, it seems the more they dig their heels in, then gradulaly but by bit it goes from bad to worse and then as we found, we started to lose good sensible posters who could debate/argue/have banter without it turning nasty..
To Ox's enternal credit he is far more objective that I probably would be, and he trys to give all flare ups a good time to die down before feeling he's forced to act by the weight of complaints that he gets.
As has been said, we have plenty of great arguments/debates both in off-topic and on the main forum on subjects that we all know we can never agree on, but oddly enough it does mean you have (at least I do) genuine respect for their views and you can deal with it easily. Some can't.
Anyway, we move on.
