Scotimp's Views (From Season Preview):

One of the unknown quantities in the league this season, a large turnover of staff under the inexperienced management of former player Moyses could produce an interesting opening few months for the Imps. Fund-raising activities of various kinds have raised over £200,000 during the close season, improving both the club's financial standing and the playing budget. The new defence looks very solid with a better quality of player in midfield; with the departure of Tomlinson and Burrow, the question will be whether or not the side has enough goals in it. The difference could be the fitness of long-term injury victim Liam Hearn: a fit Hearn could secure a play-off spot.

Prediction: Top half for the first time since relegation in 2011.

Scotimp's Views (From Season Preview):

A strong second half of the season saw Chester finish well clear of danger despite going into the season with a squad assembled for the Conference North. Manager Steve Burr is a clever manager with an eye for a player; one of the better tacticians in the non-league game, he has strengthened his squad with a couple of very good signings. Expect Chester to win as many as they lose, although the squad still looks short of the quality required for a promotion push. A new Crowdfunder scheme, inspired by the success at Grimsby and Lincoln, begins on Monday.

Prediction: Top half but a play-off challenge unlikely.
