Chelsea v Aston Villa Match Thread - 11/9 - 5.30pm

and in the end a routine plucky loss.
chelsea half pace and resting a couple
still simple enough for them in the end.

shame there wasn't another friendly against Andorra for Ty to sit out today

ah well onto the next must win

Look we have just played the European champions in their own back yard and if you look at the score you would think that we were taken to the cleaners. It was in fact the polar opposite. Two defensive blunders and one of poor positioning cost us all the goals. We were not ripped apart or over run in the midfield, which is encouraging.

We couldn't finish a bag of chips today, Watkins could have scored 4 but to be fair he never looked like he'd score.
The subs killed it nobody knew who was where.
Mings , I'm really grateful for his performances in the Championship but he is the new weak link. The next player that needs replacing if we are to move forwards

Think we showed even though we lost, we are not relegation fodder, but Mings has got to stop these stupid mistakes, Konsa don't make them. we went downhill from that moment.

Watkins does things himself, well...but can't finish.

Ings needs a through ball....but we couldn't provide that.

Oh well...no melt down. It was Chelsea and we played well mostly. Cut out the bullshit and we'll be fine. Onwards and upwards
