A Chelsea supporter is concerned the soul is being "ripped out" of the club and fears they're becoming "a Man City who are full of mercenaries".

Why would any sane Chelsea fan object to their club becoming a financially stable, growing organisation with the best academy facilities in the world, a lovely modern stadium that's being expanded, sane owners and fans who really were there when they were shit?

I think we're going to have to accept that most of the footballing world don't have a clue about most of what has happened at our club since Sheikhy took over. All they see are mercenaries and 'buying' the league. We could get upset at this lack of recognition, or (my preference) be happy in the knowledge that by the time the finally do realise what's happening, they'll be so far behind, that they'll never recover :thinking:

I think we're going to have to accept that most of the footballing world don't have a clue about most of what has happened at our club since Sheikhy took over. All they see are mercenaries and 'buying' the league. We did buy the league - twice! Nothing to be ashamed off, it's what all champions do - when was the last time a team with a 1st XI born within 5 miles of the ground, sorry stadium, won a title. Probably Celtic in the 60's.

No one has ever won the league without spending money. Leicester made the Premier League by outspending their Championship opponents. Spurs have spent an insane amount of money but don't get stick for it because they've won FA. Arsenal outspent everyone in the late 90s but people conveniently forget about that.

The press focuses on City because they are worried that our excellent business practices and Academy will mean that one day we could have a home grown starting XI that wins the league.
