Checkatrade trophy

Is anybody on here going to watch Notts play in this competition? I must admit that I haven't been to what was a JPT game for quite a few years and probably wouldn't have been doing so this year either so I can't claim any kind of boycott. I do hope that fans of all clubs will make their feelings known on the changes that have been made this year. The decision to allow Prem teams to enter their under 23 teams wasn't done to benefit anybody but the Premier League and who knows what the next step will be.

I would normally have attended this game, but after reading opinions from many lower league fans I have decided to join the boycott. My initial thoughts were to attend games against 'real' clubs but boycott any B team fixtures. I've now decided to avoid this shameful experiment completely, even if it means missing out on a trip to Wembley. I had a glance at the betting and all the B teams are favourites. I really hope crowds across the board are minimal, and the later stages are dominated by B teams. The initial concept of this competition was to give the lower leagues a chance of a day at Wembley, if that is denied it should be scrapped completely.

I like the new name it has been given - The Checkabetrayed Trophy.

I normally go too, if only for a drink afterwards but not this year, even if we make it to Wembley.
This is the worst decision since allowing home teams to keep all the gate money.

It was always deemed a joke of a competition, then if you reached the final it gave you a day out, no prestige at all. I'd rather see a welsh/english/scottish cup.

The inclusion of U23 teams and the fact that the premiership teams weren't on board prior to announcing the change just proves its a farce.

We must have the worse group in terms of distance to travel as well!

Only 461 turned up to watch AFC Wimbledon's game tonight. Sadly, Mansfield had a crowd of 1,461 with over 1000 Stags fans there. Very disappointing.

Even though I'm against this competition after the changes that have been made, it's good to know that we are winning 2-1. Nice that Sneijders has got his name on the scoresheet. I await the attendance figure with great interest.

Wes Atkinson sent off. As far as I know, any suspension would only apply to this competition and not league games.
