So they've taken the stance that they shall not be moved, or indeed be censored by religious extremists.

Right? Wrong? Brave? Stupid? Or a bit of all?

Your opinions please

Of course they are right. Nobody should bow to this religious guff. I heard somebody say once that courage always looks like stupidity to a coward...

The correct decision for me they simply can't let terror win.

Absolutely correct 1000%

It's a pleasing

:90:

From me and from the sane to the medieval scumbags .......

Fuck em, make their actions a pointless exercise.

They killed 12-18 people and achieved nothing.

we just can't allow them even the smallest victory. Well done for having the courage to continue with their publications in this manner.

and well done on the Guardian for running the picture

Shame the others lack the balls despite all the hypocritical guff they spout.

lack of balls or looking after their staff from total nutters who could come and do exactly the same to them?

I understand the stance a lot have taken saying the press have been cowards but the editors who make the decisions have to think about their staff and their families etc.

I just think this is childish, i mean drawing a picture takin the pizz out of a religion and this magazing knew they would cause trouble specially the way the world is now, i am feeling for the families that have lost loved ones who just worked at the magazine, it is one thing to say ''freedom of speech''

but we don't like hearing muslims say they hate our way of life the few that have said this in our streets and we have deported them for hate crimes/influencing terror, so my point is this magazine was getting publicity for taking the pizz out of a religion that people in there masses would die for, for me it is a no brainer what was going to happen, maybe the managers of the magazine should have left a qoute saying ''only these names will take the hate and reprecussions for this magazines images and pizz taking out of muslims'' then i would say fair enough.

Fair play to them. Really admire their stance and bravery in standing up for what they believe in, i.e. freedom of speech.

I'm a big believer that comedy/humour should never be censored. Everything should be fair game. If you are offended switch off or don't read.

Will be interesting what they do with the extra money though... they usually publish 60,000 copies. Tomorrow they will be publishing 3 million.

I hope they do something worthwhile with it like giving it to the families of those tragically killed.

It is the right thing to do. Freedom of speech and freedom of expression should not be censored and we should not bow down to these vile beings

blackwood dude there is no freedom of speech mate, if i say what i really wanted to many times in this life i would have been sued, arrested etc, load of bollox this freedom of speech, so much we can now all of a sudden claim to be able to say what we want that if a word has a certain colur in it or similar people am being had for racisim, honestly i wilsh some people would live in the real world.

Freedom of speech is being denied everywhere , every day. I asked if I could borrow someone's phone the other day and he said no. Any more proof needed?????

I hear what you say Clive mah mate, but this magazine takes the piss out of all religions and political figures. Sometimes things out taken too seriously.

I also agree that in a civilised country such as our own, we would deport (eventually) this scum that is Islamic Fundamentalism. That is the way we deal with things. But NOT them. They will kill anybody in their way or who doesn't prescribe to their ways..... so bollocks to 'em!

Also, They actually killed 3 probable muslims, if you take a look on Trekkers post here....

One being a police officer and two who were in the offices... probable workers there.....

I would hope that everyone has had a say, and it isn't just down tot the Editors. Add to that, it's probably the most secure place in France at the moment!!!

I think they almost have to do something like this, just to show these people they don't change anything with their actions.

PMSL Trekker dude LOL

Pride dude yam right, these cold blooded killers am evil and am trying to stop our way of living (which might not be a bad thing is they had a real fair alternative imo cos i have had enough sometimes of it lol) but there is all this jumped up too goodies everywhere now assuming racism for the most slightest things said or done it is pathetic, yet how many times do we see and hear of other cultures being classed as racists for calling white people names and things put up like burning our flag? I find contradiction everywhere today tbh mar mate,

cor say this you cor say that but in the real world which is what i was on about above it does happen and anybody who makes out it's wrong and this en that i would luv to see them stop a gang of asians pulling up in a van and attacking me and me two mates with bats and many other times for no reason whatsoever, it's rife but it is always one way this racism bollox this is what i ay down with me mucka some ay in the real world imho got there big houses away from mixed cultures and immigrants areas then it is easy to say this and that, they should try living there themselves imo before making out ''PEACE AND LOVE MAN'' ;)

Be sure to mention that to David Cameron when he tries to take away Snapchat and Whatsapp when he gets elected...

Using an app on a phone/tablet is not freedom of speech. The country needs to do what ever it can to stop terrorism and those services cannot be monitored. Not that I care as i dont use either of them.
