Southend have signed Tom Hopper, striker from Scunny, on a free. Three year deal. Leaves them with Simon Cox (top scorer last year, Hopper and Theo Robinson amongst others as strikers. No room for Vass?

All down to afford ability

Vass' link and any loyalty to us rests with GB.
The only reason he signed for us was bvecause of GB and despite his injury issues simple fact is that he has been top scorer in the last 2 seasons and if he leaves it is a big loss.

Don't totally agree Sexy he is decent that's for sure but not a big loss. Truth is he is powerful and a handful. Negatives are his injuries, he's not that good in the air and he should score more. I agree despite that he is still our top scorer

If he was going to re-sign he would have done it by now. The reality is that O has no money to be making decent offers and we are recruiting cheap alternatives

Perhaps he is waiting to see if ownership changes and the offer improves? As every day goes by I am feeling less sanguine about changes in the near future.
