Really?
Not the way I see it.
Realistically I did not expect Moylan to start in an Imps shirt this coming season, the transfer appears to be conducted with a minimum of fuss. Yes, it was a little disappointing to lose Skubala, but the club's measured succession planning kicked in effectively, again with a minimum of fuss and disruption.
The transfer acquisitions to date on the face to be really good and build on a core of good young players supported by some quality seniors pros. I expect there will be more exciting additions to the squad, before the transfer window closes.
I think quite a lot of the supporters are in disarray because they haven't properly computed what's happened following promotion.
It's a massive change and a massive challenge
But I don't see any disarray from the club just them dealing with the inevitable changes in a timely and impressive manner.
The stadium looks like being completed to plan and no doubt the recruitment will be (ie. by the end of the window).

Have had some concerns as obviously Scubala hard act to follow but listening to Liams interview feel much happier. As usual spoke total commonsense and told us how things are. We may have to be patient about incomings as the transfer window has been slow to get going but I am confident the club will not panic and we will have the squad we want and need by the end of the window.

Both replies have their merits and I agree with a lot of it.
Would still say we are not in an ideal position after having taken such a monumental leap up the world football ladder.
Lost our manager, best player, still a few signings short and a less than convincing pre season.
These things will be resolved over time, of course.
Now is a good time to play us, that was my point.
The simple fact is the seaon is starting a few weeks too early. It's probably not only us that has this problem. The sticky transfer market compounded by the world cup has led to this situation. The worry is that we are in uncharted territory in this new league, with several of our 'easier' fixtures falling early on; we really needed to be able to hit the ground running. We have a midfield and forward line that is short on numbers and no plan B off the bench, whilst we have lost our X factor player. This will be remedied, we all know that, but some of us are concerend that we may end up with a slow start and too much to do. Derby looks a long shot, but it doesn't matter. Boro and the rest of August/September does.

Indeed, momentum and confidence are marvellous things, as we saw last year. We as a club haven't played at this level for 60 years, many of the squad have never played at this level or last did so a number of years ago when at their peak and are likely to have declined since then. No doubt some of them may be determined to prove they can still cut it at this level, but if we get off to a poor start and get stuffed in the first few matches, it could end up being catastrophic.

Some of the other club message boards have fans in equal worry. The underlying theme is the lack of movement and players waiting for the premier league to start the trickle down. It must be worse the further down the pyramid you go. All that any of us Imps can hope for is that we give it our best shot as a club, which seems to be the case. If the worst happens and we did go down we already have a team to challenge for promotion again. I think the ball is in the coaches court. Great coaches can get more out of the team than lesser coaches. Just enjoy the ride and publicity which is great for the club and the city.

But, that is not disarray, far from it. The two positions are mutually exclusive.
Was the club in disarray when Roughan, O'Connor, Erhahon and Makama left last summer?
This is what happens in football if one is successful, in even in the lower echelons of the Premiership.

Mammoth task of staying up in the new division with a weaker squad at present.

We will pick ourselves up and get sorted for sure as we always do, but at this moment in time, it isn’t perfect and it is a good time to play us.
