Good observation. First reporting is October, and lots of championship clubs who have been running at over 100% of turnover, are relying on a big sale (or sell-on windfall, bckbrn with Wharton for instance) in the window. As the end of the window looms they may have to sell at cut price to meet the new 85% figure.

Imps of course famously won the league with a bottom six l1 playing budget, so with the extra championship income have no issues in this area. On the contrary we could be waiting for this… acquisition of the recent championship experience jez has talked about. Could even be cut price if we bargain hard, as the sellers will be in a weak position, desperate to bring in revenue, and to reduce squad salary costs…to fall inside the 85% cap.

I cannot remember a summer where the season is set to begin with the transfer market barely moving.

There is uproar that the club have let him go.

The fact they’ve made millions already selling Summerville and Fernandez to name a couple and they feel the need to sell him for a measly 10 million

In his two loans he was player of the season both times

There hasn’t been a summer with scr in place, clubs are having to do a lot of rethinking on the financial side of their business.
