As the new football season gets ever nearer what are the key things we need to know about City's participation in the 2016/17 Champions League?
Having finished outside the top three for the first time since they debuted in the competition Pep Guardiola will face an early challenge with his new club facing a two legged Play Off to secure a place in the group stages.
These legs will be played on 16/17 and 23/24 August.
The draw for this fixture will be made on Friday 5th August.
So only one competitive league game, the season opener against Sunderland, before he takes charge of City in Europe. We have to hope he gets his ducks in a row during pre-season.
