The 2018/19 Champions League group stage draw begins this evening at 5 pm BST, Thursday 30 August and we at Vital Manchester City have the official live stream direct from the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco.

As usual, no team can play a club from their own association.


The draw procedure is a tad convoluted, but I am sure all will be explained at the beginning of the ceremony.

How would you feel if Manchester City were drawn in the same group as Porto, Ajax and Club Brugge?
 
I'd be happy with that.

However Jason Sancho and Dortmund lurk large on the horizon and with no crystal ball to fall back upon I'll go for Valencia and Red Star Belgrade to make up the numbers.
 
Very happy with our draw, we can be confident of a top two finish in the group stages. After that anything can happen and usually does.
 
All well and good but what about the 'hot balls' and everyone being out to get us?!?!?!?

No one is talking about the 'narrative' anymore...

Let's crack on and win the group (playing in our home kit whenever possible).
