After tonights impressive 2-0 victory over Ferncvaros, how do you rate Celtic's chances of progressing through to the knockout stage?2021-09-30T202700Z_290914259_UP1EH9U1KSYPA_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-EUROPA-CEL-B04-REPORT.jpg2021-09-30T202700Z_290914259_UP1EH9U1KSYPA_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-EUROPA-CEL-B04-REPORT.jpg

The recent performances have seen a marked improvement. We've come through a real stormy patch with injuries and players not up to fitness. Now those problems are behind us and the more the players are getting used to each other, it seems we are getting better and better. By no means the finished article but it's looking more promising. The biggest improvement recently is how much more solid we've been defensively. CCV has been good since coming in but he was found wanting in the first 2 Europa League games, felt like he couldn't quite deal with the speed of the game at this level. Starfelt has been woeful since he joined but recently he's been looking far more composed on the ball and becoming more dominant and showing a bit more controlled aggression.

The next game away to Ferencvaros is the real deciding factor. If we can get that win then we've at least got a spot in the Conference League but we would then need Betis to be beaten in both games against Leverkusen and then for us to beat Betis in the last game at home at Celtic Park to go through. That shouldn't be impossible. Assuming Ferencvaros get beaten by Betis they would have 9 points which is the maximum we are likely or possible to get as its unlikely we'll get anything from Leverkusen. If Betis pick up any points in their 2 games against Leverkusen then I think we're likely out of the Europa League.

Definitely have the chance to qualify and just imagine if the results go our way over the next few games and we're up against Betic at Paradise to qualify!!! I'd fancy our chances big time!

Totally. Just a shame we couldn't be in control of our qualification; hoping for results by other teams to go our way. That said Betis and Leverkusen are both very good sides. Betis far more beatable but still a good side. We should have probably beaten them in the first game.
