Ref the Hot chocolate.

Ah you see. You need to stir it with three stirrers minimum. That's because the powder gathers at the bottom. A trick I picked up when I used to serve said stuff, way back when I used to serve drinks a long time ago.

It would be good to get some post mix pumps/guns on the catering bar in the Centre Spot. Mini Jeff and I love our hotdogs.

Get rid of half of the bar area under the coop stand and turn it into a curry restaurant, with tables serving naans, onion bhajis, half tandoori chickens, balti bowls and decent jalfrezi and imp vindaloo.

Now the Royal Tandoori on the high st is closed there is certainly a gap in the market...and i`m getting curry withdrawl!

And the other half a hog roast?

Now I like that idea, but only the half of the bar that sells Tea's, Coffee's meat pies, and soft drinks, should be converted to the new Royal Tandoori, we could have a couple of cinema usherettes, standing on the gantries at half time, selling Ki Ora and Um Bongo, to maximise curry and beer sales, the the new Royal CO-OP tandoori.

I think with the increase in attendances we should definitely be putting it out to tender or getting a better deal from MMs. We are in a strong position compared to what we would have got when the contract was agreed. If love us to take it in-house but can appreciate we aren't specialists in catering and that there are certain restrictions (stock sell-by dates etc) that would make it difficult for us to handle, whereas a caterer can use up unsold stock through the week. Additionally a catering company should theoretically be able to get better prices due to the economies of scale of purchasing for a large company.

If like to see more local produce used, supporting local farmers/butchers/breweries etc and giving a more diverse offering. Doesn't necessarily need to mean a bigger menu, just cut some of the crap stuff to make room.

That's why I like the foot long Hot Dogs because they are sourced and provided by Fosters butchers on Monks Road and delivered on a Friday to Sincil Bank by a good friend of mine, the biggest issue they have at the ground is space for refrigeration and storage of food supplies.

Hackney you seem to know your onions when it comes to the matter of nosebag and maybe you could bend Russ or Liam`s ear on the matter and offer them some free consultancy on nosh at the Bank especially as your son is one of the top chefs in the US of A,

I wish!

Maybe there will be some good news soon regarding the catering for next Season?

Thanks Ian, now I know that (locally sourced & delivered) I may just treat myself next time I’m up.

I used to go to a nearby food van, close to my work that sold pizza slices, thought they looked pretty familiar, and taste confirmed my suspicions. They bought in Chicago town Chicken and Bacon melt pizzas, cooked them up and sold slices for £1 a go. Had 8 slices out of one pizza, so each pizza £3.50 to buy, giving a profit of £4.50 on each one. Might be nice to get stuff in like that, or fry up a few popcorn chicken bits in a cone/box.
Or as German Imp says, could go a bit different, do something unique to the club like Ostrich/Kangaroo burgers or better still Bratwurst and chips.

I think the way calculate profit rate would make you bust very quickly if you ran a business.
What about buyer costs (wages).
What about seller costs - Cost of van, cost of catering equipment, cost of advertising, cost of wages, cost of insurance?

There's so much you can do with Indian vegetarian food. So many different lentil dishes, for example.
Sounds great but in reality it would be a very low % of people you would be catering(excuse the pun) for! Imo

No bank is going to install cash machines that only get used once every couple of weeks.

My local AA baseball team (two steps below major league) have a system where I can order food and drink on my phone. It sends me an alert when they are ready to pick up or for tip money I can have them delivered to my seat, no cash involved (except tip) as it's all paid through my credit card.

Impalex...a curry restaurant under the coop stand.....wow!

Just imagine it 90 minutes the final whistle blows we have won 3-0 gone top of the table and you leave your seat and walk down the steps towards the exit, turning right into a wall of aroma of cooked tandoori chickens, sizzling mixed grills prawn/lamb and freshly cooked naans and the bar is open for imbibing. half price beer, like Accrington because we are top of the table....i don`t think i would go home........Saturday heaven?

I like the tech idea but can’t see how the delivery system would work at SB
