Another excellent result for Pools on Saturday.

It will be interesting to see how DC approaches the upcoming Papa John's Trophy match on Tuesday. I'd expect some of the fringe players might get a run out, to sharpen their match fitness.

Yes a great result on Saturday. Carlisle were unbeaten in the league. Some impressive stats regarding our ability to keep shots on goal against us to the bare minimum. According to the Mail we have allowed the lowest number of shots on our goal in the the whole of League Two. I guess it is a testimony to the way we press the opposition and dont give them time on the ball. Of course it does not always work as we found against Barrow. As for the Papa John game, I am expecting some players to be rested, so a weakened team might be up against it. We shall see.

I was also impressed to see we had the second highest attendance in L2. Carlisle brought a fair few but still a good show.
