Can Pep swallow his pride ?

Pep made a big call in clearing out Joe Hart , when he arrived, and I was never convinced that it was entirely for his footballing ability, but probably his attitude and strength in the dressing room.

Not in January , but come the summer , I think there is an opportunity for both to reflect on what has been said and done, for Pep to say that Joe has learnt whilst on loan, and for Joe to admit that he is too gobby.

I was one of Joe's strongest critics, he believed his own hype too much , and his concentration and passing need work, but he is surely better than Bravo.

I can see a way out for both and an advantage for both and the club.

But, as always , prepared to be wrong.

Is that "No" Joe is not better than Bravo , or "No" Pep can't swallow his pride ?

Quote from Joe last week

Joe Hart: "I've not been sent here (Torino) to see how I do or see if I improve. I've been sent out because I wasn't wanted."

No we need to move on from this and it would be wrong for JH1 to return having said what he has, although Bravo is clearly not the answer at the moment, we must remember two things 1. It was clear that Joe Hart would not suit.
2. Claudio Bravo was not Pep's first choice.

So , from the responses so far , it would appear I am in a minority .

I would ask you this then , is Pep bigger than the club ?

Of course he's not but he's the manager and you either back him or sack him, no middle ground.

16 matches is no time to judge anyone and as we all knew, he has no experience of the premier, but if you look at Maureenhono he has more money spent more money his squad cost more than anyone elses more experience and is still back there well short of the top spot, nearly 5 games and that is a lot. As for us 4 points off top spot because the ref is gutless spineless twat, otherwise it was top spot.

I've been looking at the numbers again but this time not looked at save percentages but shots on target against related to goals conceded.

We conceded 3.2 shots per game last season and conceded 1.07 per game in the league.

Since Bravo made his debut we've conceded 3.2 shots per game and conceded 1.07 per game in the league.

I really am struggling to understand why people are pining for Hart or suggesting we've regressed in the goalkeeping department by signing Bravo.

So, what you're saying BD is that Claudio and Joe are equal?

Based on the numbers so far Rising they are.

I expect Bravo to improve his level of performance the more he settles though.

And though this grates with some people he is more adept at playing the way Pep wants than Joe is.

As do all keepers.

Worth noting too that before the Chelsea game his save percentage after 10 league games was 71%, not brilliant but decent.

It'll be interesting to see how he responds now because I'm sure he'll be disappointed in himself for not doing more to try get something on them 2nd and 3rd goals.

Here is Guilleme Ballagues's take on the criticism Pep has been receiving.
If the link doesn't work (you know how crap I am at doing this), I found it on Sky football website.
