Can Imps 'Cobble' Together A Winning Start At Sixfields?

It would be very interesting to read other people's ideas re starting eleven and formation.
 
We can - question is, will we? Personally I think we'll start the season as DC wants and means to go on, with a convincing performance and win. I reckon the formation will be very close to the Scunthorpe one, which might take Northampton by surprise.
 
In my memory, we always seem to lose at Northampton, usually by a single goal. I remember a number of 1-0 defeats, but that might be a fading memory.

The problem we have in midfield is that neither defensive midfielder is fully fit - Bostwick and O'Connor.

Based on pre-season, certain players will surely start:

...............................Vickers..........................
Eardley,....Waterfall.....Wharton......Toffolo
Anderson...........Bostwick...............Pett.........
...............................McCartan..........................
.....................Andrade..........Akinde................
 
Struggle to see that Bossie will start with so little pre season and risk that a niggling injury develops into something more concerning

Fair point, though in his press conference this afternood DC did say everyone except Sam Habergham was available for Saturday.
 
I'd be also keen to know who on here will be at the game tomorrow. Two of us, as usual.

Yes we have had a number of 1-0 defeats there and one of those was one of the 4 defeats suffered in the Div.4 Champions season 1975-76

I dreamt last night that Northampton won 1-0 due to an Imps defensive howler .I once also dreamt that I woke up with Penelope Cruz . I hope one of them comes true
