Will it happen? Will the GOP push Jeb for President? Interesting topic. Galv already sent his CV in for campaign manager so Jeb should get to the White House of he wins the leadership race.

On a serious note, if he does win is this right?

Jeb's been subtly exploring the Hispanic vote (now critical to even get close to the Whitehouse) for the last couple of years - if he can get through the primaries and built on the consensus of being a 'moderate' republican at odds with his predecessors - I think he'd have a fighting chance.

Let's not also forget, he speaks fluent Spainish and his wife is (I think) Mexican.

The problem is of course his name and his wealth, especially his job since he gave up being Governor - that will sit uncomfortably with some of the wavering democratics the republicans need to win back at the next election...

The one thing for certain is the democratics won't win the next election.

Not the way the US is dipping back to caveman morality. Media is warped and the cops, well, let's just say, when you can't even reason with the "protectors of the peace", your nation is in BIG trouble.

Caveman Morality?

What's that then?!

And any US voter with a right mind, couldn't possibly vote for another Bush. Could they??? :37:

There are hundreds of millions of them that are stark raving bonkers, and armed...I've started building my bunker already

LOL!

Don't worry about the Americans, worry about Putin - the worse the state of their economy is getting the more he is going to be tempted to doing something very aggressive to one of the old Soviet' states...

I really do think that he/Russia are on the brink of doing something exceptionally aggressive and desperate.

Hopefully really stupid as well. A lethal internal power struggle would be a really great start.

If anything happens, my money is on it being an external act of militarism, which he'll blame on the west, most specifically the EU (who were the catalyst for their previous actions).

I agree. And it is going to happen. Amoral, ruthless and ambitious. And in a virtually unassailable position. Let's hope he makes a BIG mistake.

Well Putin has already got away with blowing an air line plane out of the sky, nothing will surprise me with that bloke. Proper head case.

As for another Bush as president, lol dumb and dumber 3 it is then.

A CNN/ORC poll released on Sunday found Bush with the support of 23 percent of Republicans, 10 percentage points higher than his nearest rival, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

The poll provided further evidence of how Bush has shaken up the field since his announcement he's "actively exploring" a presidential bid, an aggressive early move that thrilled the donor class.

Personally, I think he's too overweight to make it - he simply isn't looking good in front of the camera's... :10:

He will likely win.
