Bury

Talk about eleventh hour. Pleased if this saves Bury but no sale agreed at such short notice can possibly have been thoroughly thought through.

If this does go through have Bury got a manager or any players, and how soon will the EFL insist they start playing and then playing catch up. We should be insisting the rearranged Bury v Donny game is played on the Tuesday before we play them on the Friday.

Will these new people pass the EFL's rigid and stringent tests?.
I should think so?.
The saga drags on.........

2.3 If at any time after a Club makes the submission of Declarations referred to in Rule 2.1 another person proposes to become a Relevant Person of that Club (including for the avoidance of doubt by virtue of being a shadow director or acquiring Control of the Club):

(a) the Club shall no later than 10 Normal Working Days prior to the date on which it is anticipated that such person shall become a Relevant Person submit to The League a duly completed Declaration in respect of that person, at which point that person shall be bound by and subject to the Regulations;

(b) within 5 Normal Working Days of receipt thereof The League shall advise the Club of the time-frame within which The League, acting reasonably, expects to be able to finalise its enquiries in respect of that person; and

(c) following completion of those enquiries, The League shall advise the Club in accordance with Rule 3.1 whether or not The League considers that the person is subject to a Disqualifying Condition.

A week for the efl to see if the new owner is suitable... if not, what then?

So is there genuinely a sale or is it more bluster from Dale ?

So are we expecting a definitive answer from the EFL in the next couple of minutes or silence
I'm expecting the latter

The indications from the EFL was that any extension would be for 24/48 hours to allow the relevant documents to be collated and sent to the EFL
Sounds like these potential buyers want an extension to continue to review the financial details of Bury

I can see the EFL granting another extension of 2-3 weeks or so. Apart from sorting out the finances and logistics of running a club, do they even have a full team? Their official site only lists 8 players
