Bury

It's the Bury fans, supporters just like us, who are the biggest victims here.
If they do come out of all this with their club still in the EFL, then pleased for them.

But if not, hope they can look at other clubs who have suffered a full loss and see there is always a route back.
Newport, Wimbledon, Accrington are all back in the League. Aldershot, Chester, Halifax, Hereford, Bradford PA are revived and in upper reaches of non-league. Other examples I'm sure.

It will be down to the useless EFL though to make sure we never see this sad farcical situation repeated again.

In fairness they have now done this. Bury have until 23rd August to supply relevant info/assurances or their membership of the EFL will be withdrawn.
Sadly, 23/8 is too late. It should have been July or even June.
Those hoping it won't happen again. Maurice, Bob,.........

And what exactly have the EFL said Bury need to do by the 23rd ?

If it's just some verbal half promises that the EFL accept then the whole process seems pointless.
They should be required to deposit the necessary funds with the League as real proof they can continue. This should include repayment in full of all football debts (players ex & current, managers, office staff, the lot, any money owing to other clubs which could well include ourselves, loans from the PFA), 12 months of instalments on their CVA agreement, compensation to the 5 clubs and counting who have missed fixtures due to this farce, and a substantial bond lodged to cover any future problems.

Bury kicked out of the League Cup, but have another game suspended...

EFL STATEMENT: BURY FC UPDATE
Bury FC’s scheduled League One fixture with Tranmere Rovers on Saturday 24 August has been suspended as further clarity remains outstanding in relation to a number of the Club’s financial obligations.

In addition, Sheffield Wednesday have been awarded the Round One tie scheduled to be played against Bury and will progress to Round Two, where they will play away at Rotherham United on Wednesday 28 August.

The EFL Board continues to be frustrated at the lack of significant progress that has been made by Mr Dale in providing the information required. However, we will continue to work with the current ownership in an attempt to achieve a resolution ahead of the Notice of Withdrawal deadline of Friday 23 August.

It remains in regular communication with Mr Dale but if a solution is not found by the deadline, the Board will authorise the necessary share transfer on behalf of Bury FC which shall be legally binding on all parties and result, regretfully, in the Club no longer being a member of the League.

Should this happen, Bury’s record from the 2019/20 season would be expunged with League One consisting of 23 Clubs for the remainder of the campaign and the number of relegation places reduced to three at the conclusion of 2019/20 season. Four promotion places would remain from League Two ensuring a full complement of 24 teams in League One in 2020/21.

Bury would then be free to make an application to the Football Association to re-join league competition further down the English football pyramid from season 2020/21.

Expunged on Friday then as the idiot Dale won't provide the information required will he?
Still think when they go a few will.
Keep hearing Scunthorpe have money problems as do Oldham and Macclesfield.

Rejected an offer today to buy the club as he believes he can get more?!?! The club’s worth nothing!! How can you think you can get more?!?

What an asshole.

As long as here's the the will be thrown out on Friday, he's an asset stripper pure and simple, just this time his chosen victim is a football club.

The cup tie should have been awarded to Wednesday as soon as the tie was called off. Delay was pointless.

And I like that their record this season will be expunged...that will be be deletion of all the games they haven't played....!

And "expunged"....is there anywhere else in English that this word gets used apart from when a football team goes into full on basket case mode ?

Yep. Imagine being willing to take something that means so much to so many just to make some money. Bloke is an asset stripper that has no morals.

His recent talk about receiving abuse and his daughter receiving abuse was interesting. If you looked at the psychology of it, could argue that’s him justifying it to himself ‘it’s ok to take this club away, the supporters aren’t very nice’. Even the most immoral like to convince themselves what they are doing is ok.

Wonder if he's had death threats like a former imps chairman got once upon a time?
This isn't going to end well on Friday.

Hopefully it will end on Friday. My gut feeling is the lily livered arses that run the EFL will yet again buckle under the pressure to make a decision and further extend their lack of action against a team they have allowed to cheat and walk all over them. Walked all over by Bury and stamped upon by Bolton.

See the MP there is after votes.
Asked that they be given yet another extension!
It's actually getting really hard to fit all the missed games in now. An even longer delay would fill up every midweek until May !

More importantly it would render the EFL utterly toothless in any future case of this sort.

They are already toothless.
