No.

That ship has sailed.

In the very unlikely event Bury can't fulfil their fixtures this season, their results will be expunged - which won't be of benefit as the Imps will lose 4 points.
There's no way Bury won't finish the season.

However... it wouldn't make an awful lot of difference to LCFC as we'd still be 11 points ahead of Mansfield. Tranmere would gain - at the expense of Mansfield and MK.

and yet at the top of the game money continues to keep sloshing around.....
To be honest, although I don't like the massive money-fest the Premier League has turned into, if some of that money was passed down the league I think plenty of clubs would still get themselves into trouble. The issues are usually around the management of the money not simple lack of funds.

Currently there is a "bubble" in football wages and football finances generally .It is likely to go pop as all bubbles do at some point. However the fall out is likely to be felt mainly outside the Premier League.

......while just down the road some Spanish geezer who stands about between the sticks at Old Trafford 'demands' £200k, or thereabouts, a week or he's off to somewhere who will cough up!. One week's wages, sorted!!

Another rumour circulating at tonight's game suggested that the new Bury chairman has left the club, although exactly how he could have done so without selling it to someone else is another question.

Some fans are blaming these two home defeats on off-field distractions. Some are now suggesting their brilliant style of play is actually too predictable and has been found out, and that the Manager of the Year has no Plan B. One or two are suggesting that the Manager of the Year is no such thing. Surprising the effect a couple of defeats can have, they were the best footballing side in the solar system until 5pm on Saturday.

Perhaps this will teach the idiotic EFL not to commence voting for its team and manager of the season three months before the season is due to finish.

Bury seem to do the same thing every year. Build a team they can't afford in L2 in the hope of getting to L1 before being relegated again. The ultimate yo-yo club.

They are in a real financial mess - many millions in debt, a mortgaged ground plus several other high interest loans. Let's assume they are promoted: what happens next? If it is true that an extra £1m is needed just to compete in League One, where the hell do Bury go? Games will be lost, gates will reduce, income will reduce further, the debts will increase. Result: another abject season culminating in relegation with very few points and an even worse financial position at the end of it. Talk about a vicious circle!

If they have got to where they have in the league (up to second), but if the team have not been paid, and/or they have signed players beyond their means, which could result on them defaulting on paying creditors, that's a type of cheating to get where they have. Good choice for manager of the year

from a selfish perspective... the ideal team to be promoted alongside.
