Bury manager post match.

Very humble about it, considering he was so gutted.

After that first half, it is still quite hard to believe we won.

Which is probably why he won't be in charge for long. Would we be happy if DC had given that interview had we been on the receiving end?

You have got a point there Bart i personally like our manager to get a bit angry and finish the interview with the following comment
To interviewer:
"Let`s call it a wrap i`m off to the dressing room to pull the door off it`s hinges and smash every cup in sight"

It makes a refreshing change to take disappointment like that on the chin, rather than stick all the blame on the ref and accuse the opposition of playing football he disliked. He was the same against Forest after they were robbed there as well, very magnanimous. I like that. And he was kind enough to give my lad an autograph too.

That's great and he is clearly a very nice guy. I think there is a correlation though between success as a manager and what other fans think of them. I remember similar comments about Darren Sarll after we came from behind to beat Stevenage away last season. Fortunately for us the Cowley's are increasingly disliked by other fans in league 2 which bodes well for continued success.

I agree, after the first half.

But a game is two halves and our performance second half more than matched what they had.

It is not "luck" when we continually score late goals, defend leads, force errors from defenders to win penalties- it is hours and hours on a training ground, commitment, dedication and hard work.

Last night was an excellent, well earned win against a very competent and good Bury side.

Roll on Saturday
