Outspoken pundit believes Swansea City will destroy the Premier League title race with Tottenham Hotspur result

He thinks the title race will be all over after Swansea's clash with Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium

Outspoken pundit Jimmy Bullard believes Swansea City will have a massive say in the Premier League title race.

He's backed the Swans to put a massive dent in Tottenham Hotspur's title hopes with a huge result at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night.

Despite listing Swansea's relegation rivals Hull City among his former clubs, Bullard believes "it's part of Tottenham's DNA" to slip up whenever they get a chance of clinching the trophy, and it's predicting that to happen again in SA1.

Spurs beat Burnley 2-0 last weekend, while Chelsea lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace.

It was a series of results that opened the door for Mauricio Pochettino's men — now just seven points behind long-term leaders Chelsea.

But Bullard said: "The title race seems to have a bit more in it now after Chelsea had a blip and Spurs won again.

"Let me tell you I think it’s all over though on Wednesday night."

The former Fulham and Wigan midfielder, in a predictions column for bookmakers BetBright believes Paul Clement's side will grind out a result to halt Tottenham's title charge.

He added: "Whenever Tottenham get a sniff then it’s almost part of their DNA to blow the chance. I think they have come on plenty with Pochettino but this trip to Swansea is not an easy game.

"The manager at Swansea has done brilliant and I can just see Spurs slipping up and missing a chance.

"What’s more Conte’s Chelsea won’t lose any sleep over the Palace result. He will have gone to his players and I bet he didn’t spit any feathers. A result like that can happen in any sport to any team and when it has happened to them before, not very often mind you, they have bounced back perfectly."

Ladies and gentlemen it's time for "Wind Up The Spurs Supporters" sponsored by any arsehole with access to the media.

We should actually keep all the derogatory Spurs articles in this thread.

??

How many of us believe we will win tomorrow though?

We have history....

No one can argue against him really, the more it gets talked about the more pressure on them as well. The title for us hasn't really been spoke about till after Saturday, if it happens again and we mess up 1 of the next 3 (so called) easy games then we clearly ain't learnt nothing from last season (and previous seasons)

I honestly believe this is a season defining game, make no mistake the Burnley games was our toughest away game left. We won, now we need to capitalise on it by beating Swansea. Do that and we have two winnable home games against Watford and Bournemouth, followed by an away game against C Palace.
Beat Swansea and I honestly can't see us having a problem till we face Le Arse, by that point I expect us to amass 12pts. All the pressure will be on them, Kane and Rose will surely be back well before then.

"Outspoken pundit still trying to talk his way into a job more prominent than BetBright column."

Martin Samuel in his column in today's Daily Mail is on the same bandwagon with his article entitled 'DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP, TOTTENHAM' . I swear even sports journalists, who I would have thought would want an exciting run-in, hate the idea that it's us trying to make a fight of it.

It always seems odd to me that some of our fans think we get victimised by the media. We don't but even if it were true, so what? That shouldn't affect a player with the right mentality.

The truth id that we do have history of choking, and last years was a dreadful and shameful example. But I think it will have been useful experience, and will have toughened up all concerned, and I don't see us doing the 'house of cards' impression this year.

That is not to say that we will catch and overtake Chelsea though, but I will be surprised if we fall to pieces again.
