BST column in the Gazette - A new season- but that familiar feeling of disenchantment

53CODGER - 8/8/2016 07:02

Oh Layton you are wrong again. I am 82 and worked on after 65. I obtained contracts to work from home
because of my wife's blindness and dementia and I could not leave her alone. I only ceased writing aircraft publications at the age of 80. During those extra 15 years I payed my taxes ans self employed insurance so my free bus pass and winter payments have been more than earned and I have subscribed to yours as well!!!!!!!

Codger, every credit indeed, I'm also full of praise for your care of your most beloved, very heart warming indeed.

You should realise I'm not having a pop (or joke) at you or Prem who have obviously contributed much to our society.

Just give them Oystains hell!

Do rapists get a national insurance contribution paid whilst inside? I'd hate to think of Owen getting a smaller state pension.

Prison inmates are treated the same as unemployed, their contributions are stamped as valid for that period.

I take it you are Not speaking from personal experience, but on research for your litery expertise... :grins: :grins:
