Bruce Won't Be Making Rash Decisions

Radio Sheffield is s..t. Sorry can't put it any other way. Paul Davis does let his own opinions come out a bit more on certain social media. He is ok.
Agree Radio Sheffield is terrible. Rob Staton is so opinionated it goes beyond punditry. Their focus for many years has been Wed. then United followed by the rest.
Staton blasted our fans for wanting Hamshaw sacked but if we'd just gone down with him in charge I bet Staton would then have blasted club for not sacking him. In other words Staton just says stuff to provoke reaction.

Probably upset because we have no decent players left that TS can gift to our feathered neighbours for free, which obviously has a bad effect on them . That's why he always used to say that TS was doing a "wonderful job" - it wasn't for us though! Probably had to "tone" it down because of falling listener figures in the Rotherham area. Amazing that more Blades fans don't phone in to complain too.

He is certainly such an opinionated man that he is frustrating to listen to, so condescending and often downright rude to people that dare to disagree with him!

I'm quite pleased so far but I do think we are creating a familiar narrative again to (imo) make a risky signing. The narrative is that we lack 'experience' in central defense - although I remember Cardiff playing in L1 on occasions with four defenders aged 18, 19, 20 and 22 - and even if we sign Alijofree and Otoo it won't solve this (perceived) problem. We have been down the road of experienced older injury-prone CHs before and it didn't work. But here we go again. We 'need' an old head. Apparently the only old head we can think of his Tom Lees. He has a 'slight niggle', so slight he hasn't even trained with us. AB is now talking about extending his 'trial' into next season! And AB's 'solution' to the injury position? 'I'm going to talk to Tom in the next few days'!!!!!!!!! Why do we do this?

"We will learn from our mistakes" -TS

Radio Sheffield saying that Lees would be a great signing for us... probably because he played for a local lower-division team with financial problems.... Why is he now an unfit "free agent" then?

Otoo missed almost all of last season due to injury too.

High risk strategy that has previously brought us TWO relegations in three years. We have few medical staff to assess the players fitness levels - that was seen as a big problem by MH. We could strike lucky, but our past record is dire, even with "pay-as-you play" type contracts.

TS really needs to get the chequebook out and look elsewhere. Likely to be throwing money down the drain otherwise... as usual! Then say that we can't be expected to compete with the big city clubs... like Salford, York, Truro, St. Albans, etc.

We need to do something though - Douglas and Duncan (who has just signed a new contract!) seem to have long-running injury problems , or "minor niggles" as they are known at RUFC.
