Yeah, no shocks or surprises and political suicide. Londoners are already fed up with what is going on in their city and to announce this on the same day as Patel and Dick are condemning assaults causing 140 injuries to officers in recent protests just seems weird. These people obviously don't speak to each other.

Pathetic politicians; Khan trying to Dick Patel and Patel trying to Dick Khan, so to speak. Tossers.
 
Too much dicking around altogether.

I'm not sure Khan has much option. He gets it in the neck if he raises charges and if he cuts services, same for all council leaders. Many councils are literally facing bankruptcy. We need to be clear that we are prepared to pay more for essential services, which includes policing naturally.
