15 (at least) police officers injured in Brixton last night. I suppose not the best idea to enter a block party in Brixton in the current circumstances. But equally, no doubt ,the police were trying to do their job and respond to 999 calls. The coppers are just being used as punchbags for other peoples agendas at the moment.
 
Oh dear, 22 cops injured, apparently. Hardly a surprise, there are plenty of folk chomping at the bit to escalate and organise violence against the police; last night was inevitable. I`m afraid we will see a lot more of this, and worse, up and down the country and the lack of police numbers will be seriously exposed as they struggle to cope.

Violence is not the way to solve the difficult issues facing society - violence just begets violence and fans fires. FGS calm down everyone.....
 
How about an experiment of the police not responding?

That would ease the tension wouldn’t it.

No police presence would mean no enemy.

They could just say that they were aware of any given situation but have declined to attend on the basis of risk to their officers.

How about just staying at a safe distance and filming the events?

Take it further if you like.
While trying to arrest a suspect and he takes off, don’t give chase.
They could just shrug and think, we’ll get him next time, couldn’t they?

A young man has just been stabbed and is bleeding to death. Should the emergency services do a full written risk assessment before heading on out of the car.
A topic of debate I suppose.

Perhaps the experiment should extent to De-funding the Police. Then the authority/co-operative left with addressing problems could ask for volunteers to go talk to the rioters and ask them to be a bit more thoughtful ? But, "there wouldn`t be rioters, looters, thieves and violent people if there were no police" - would there............. mmm, yeah right.

Yep, been saying this all through coronavirus (although I don't think it will be up and down the country, I think it will be isolated to certain areas of certain cities). Once they realise there is more than them than there are of the police, it will really break down.

I'm glad I don't own a Footlocker store in London

I was alluding mainly to more heavily populated urban areas up and down the Country, but tbh, could be anywhere - even a small leafy Berkshire town..

You only have to look at the "summer of love" CHAZ to get the answer to that one.

To those who don't know what the CHAZ is, it stands for Capital Hill Autonomous Zone and is at least 6 blocks in Seattle that was taken over by people associated with BLM, antifa and other extreme left wing anarchists in order to create a communist utopia. It is obviously a police no go area.

With no police then there is a spike in crime as law and order is based upon who has the biggest weapon and are prepared to use it. There have been various claims of rapes and sexual assault which'll go uninvestigated. As of yesterday, 4 people died in 3 days from guns. And one person who was injured bleed out as the paramedics weren't prepared to enter a warzone without police escort and the place is a no go for the police.

In order to be more progressive and to end discrimination, white people must pay a white person tax:

As per below, most (all?) gardens are black people only and white people are not allowed to have land within the CHAZ because land = power.

Apparently the only way of easing racial tensions is for black and white people to be segregated (disclaimer: I am citing the BLM activists within the CHAZ. Obviously if a white person agreed with the BLM activists then this would be white supremacy)
 
Crime generally is picking up after a lull during lockdown. Lots of frustrated and excited young people out and about again. Raves, beach gatherings and now this. Brixton a victim of the visitors it attracts as much as of its own people. Major incident declared in Bournemouth now. I think I'll give the pub a swerve till after the first lunacy.

The Bournemouth story needs to be read by people who think we are coming out of lockdown too soon. The country is ready to burst, people can't keep saying "why not leave it another month?".

I agree but 1) It's a scary moment
2) There has been some odd and contradictory messaging going on.

Hold onto your hats. I think the excess spirits will cool after a few outbursts and after that it's hope for the best.

Well it's all the same thing Jerry , isn't it ?

The last four weeks have ripped this country apart. The last time BLM was in fashion it was 2016 , an election year.
Look who's back in 2020 , bang on delivery.
It's not about BLM , it's about bringing down society , the 'elite' and capitalism.
It's rioting , violence and destruction.
The communist/anarchists have had a whiff of opportunity.
 
At this stage its a simple event.

Anti social youngsters decide the lockdown is over and will enjoy themselves irrelevant of the nuisance to the community. Similar to the people flooding beaches.

Residents worried about the virus and the disturbance to their area, noise, annoyance, children cannot sleep, etc as expected rightly call the police.

Police move in to do their job and some don't want to listen. Aggrieved at police having to move in they kick off - normal youth behaviour.
Pure antisocial and provocative behaviour, nothing to do with any politics at this stage.

The question is, do the police make sure all guilty of attending or violence are punished?
They could ignore it and hope it does not happen again but i see copy cat activity following.
They could organise fully resourced numbers to halt the next one risking major confrontations followed by rioting. It only needs a pretend link to politics to ignite it.

Which direction and responce?

For me this is not a left or right discussion at all. Its just anti social behaviour and needs to be stopped.

No its not.
We are not in the USA even though you guys think you live there and your race are under attack.
Everything for you guys is about race, pure and simple.

This event has nothing to do with race, its about unwanted anti social behaviour no matter from which source and how to react to it with the reduced police resources.
