Buy out clause... agent strikes again :-/

https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/2017/july/britt-assombalonga/

I don't think he will get the reception he thinks when he returns in a few weeks time to the City Ground,I for one think he as shit on us after his long term injury by demanding a buy out clause in his new contract and wage increase.
I was working up there last month what a fooking shit hole it is and the two deserve each other

We've got £10m for him, of which £2m goes to Posh.

fook all really.

The other £4m they don't know whether it is all bullshit add ons or later cash payments. If it's cash payments then obviously more goes to posh

But right now we've sold our best player and have only a maximum of £8m to show for it

"I want to thank the Forest fans for being behind me, especially after my injury.

“They gave me a chance in the Championship and I want to say thanks to them and wish them all the best for the season.”

Nottingham Forest FC can announce that the transfer of Britt Assombalonga to Middlesbrough FC is complete.

A spokesperson for Nottingham Forest FC said:

"Middlesbrough FC outbid various other clubs to sign Britt Assombalonga. As a club we felt that since the fee agreed met the buyout clause in his contract and he wanted to move it would be wrong to stand in his way."

Britt Assombalonga said: "I would like to thank Nottingham Forest for all their help and support especially whilst I was injured. They have shown full commitment to me to continue but I felt that this was too good an opportunity for me to pass up at this stage of my career."

So NFFC provided help, support and full commitment to Britt whilst he was injured which he's thankful for. So thankful he f....ed off at the earliest opportunity!! What would have been a good opportunity Britt is to have stayed, bang in the goals between now and December then take your pick from a host of EPL suitors in January.

Where do those figures come from Pope?

If he has gone for 10m Peterborough will only get 900k

"I would like to say a special thank you to PC Robinson 8976 for supporting me through being stalked by that moaning fooker off Vita Forestl" Assombolonga added

A spokesman from Vital Forest refused to comment but a source close to the afformentioned stalker told us "he really whacks my pip"

Meanwhile on LTLF some bloke with a walnut whip for a knob said "its full of fiucking weirdos on there so its no suprise to me, when Co Op shut in Eastwood I was more shocked"

Evening post, but you are quite correct- I was thinking about 20% of the total when it will in fact be 20% of the profit.

£9m or so then

We were never going to keep Britt - just hope we've got what we wanted out of it.

Me too. still don't see why we can't sell in jan- and that's after 10 pages of arguing over why

Player & agent power.... such a shame that we won't benefit from a fully fit Britt, but this rumour has been circulating for weeks & certainly prior to them coming back for pre-season.

"Player & agent power.... "

What if the (our) club started the whole process off?

Assuming everything goes according to plan with the transfer, everyone at Forest comes out smelling of roses, leaving Player and Agent being labelled as greedy bastards.

Spot on.

Brereton will be gone next July or January if he get's off to a good start.
I wonder what prize asset we'll find to flog after that ?

I think this actually says quite a bit about BA the man.

Short career or not, him and his agent have engineered a move to line their own pockets even more - their prerogative I know but I don't have to like it.

In some ways I'm glad that this kind of mercenary is leaving the club. I'd rather have 5 not quite so potent strikers up front who WANT to play for the club, than one poison apple in it solely for himself.

He's gone now. Time to move along - the King is dead... long live the King!
