With the resounding Ipswich home defeat and the resulting fallout still fresh in our minds, we are back in league action over the bridge on Saturday.

The remaining coaching team of O’Dea, O’Leary and Margetson look likely to take charge for this match, with the new manager search still ongoing at time of writing.

They will have the unenviable task of lifting the players and fans alike, with us being in our worst position after 15 games since relegation, only 2 wins in the last 10 matches.

If that wasn’t enough, two first team regulars, our captain and centre-back Ben Cabango and left-back Josh Tymon will be missing through suspension with Casey and Samuels-Smith the likely replacements. The rest more or less pick themselves after their return from two weeks globe-trotting on International duty.

Hope springs eternal that we can get something from this match.
 
Actually, although they are high up in the table, of their four defeats so far, The Robins have lost three of those seven matches at home, 1-3 Oxford, QPR 1-2, Blackburn 0-1.

It’s their away record that’s impressive with just one defeat in seven matches
which was a 5-1 drubbing at Stoke.

Their new head-coach since June 25 is Austrian Gerhard Struber, after Liam Manning left them to join Norwich.

Previously Struber managed Wolfsberger AC, Barnsley, New York Red Bulls, Red Bulls Salzburg and FC Cologne.

Results this season for the Robins: P17 W7 D5 L5 for a 41% win record, with
inconsistent home form letting them down: P8 W3 D2 L3 F11 A10.

Last home game they lost 0-1 to Blackburn.

Last away game they lost 2-1 at Preston.

Swans look to be injury free but will be without Cabango and Tymon, both suspended for one match after accumulating five yellow cards.

Not good enough Swansea, same mistakes all season.
Slow in the build up, dispossessed too easily, weak defence, weak midfield, weak attack.
This is relegation in the making
The wrong team was picked today.
What is the leading scorer Vipotnik doing on the bench, same for Franco, Widell, Yalcouye, Inoussa.
Both goals from crosses and preventable, Idah first, no marking, just watches, Burgess second, no marking, just watches.
I would be doing a Fergie at half-time and throwing things in that dressing-room

94 minutes of ineptness
We are a shambles, and it’s only getting worse, seven goals conceded in the last two matches. One win in the last eight matches.

Bristol were without a win in the last three matches until they met the soft touch.
 
Matos won’t need to do much to improve on that today. That has to be a positive for him!

Players look shot of confidence, and it’s not surprising that we’ve not seen one decent performance this season.

Thankfully we have some home games against sides around us coming up. Big opportunity to put in some good performances and get some wins.
 
Well if one thing today proved is that O’Dea hasn’t a clue.
It was the same old rubbish that Sheehan had churned out since O’Dea’s arrival.
We all better pray that Matos can sort out this mess we find ourselves in before it’s too late.
 
Seeing a lot of questioning of the players, but at the end of the day, they haven’t looked assured in what they are meant to be doing all season.

Not saying they aren’t culpable of course they are, but how can we expect them to be an effective attacking side when we haven’t been all season up until now? Keeping the coaching team in place for this game was always going to end in the same result.

Judge after Matos has had them for ten games, that’s the best thing to do I think.

Fully agree, Keith. It's a bit of both for me, the players need to step up massively but the coaching and tactically side has also been woeful. Put them together and we're heading straight to a relegation flight.

Hell of a job for Matos to sort out.

Need to get some points out of the next 4 or 5 games. A few wins at home against sides around us should help keep us out of trouble.

I didn’t think I’d be saying that going into December!
