Bristol City v Swansea Sun 9 Feb 12:00

We move on from the transfer window shambles to our next match, over the bridge, albeit weaker than when the window opened.

The latest form guide tells us everything we need to know, as if we didn’t know already.

We are in 23rd position of 24 teams in the Championship form table and if the slide is not arrested, League One awaits us.

Swansea last 6 games:

L D L L L L

W0 D1 L5 F3 A17

Portsmouth 4 - Swansea 0

Swansea 1 - West Brom 1

Cardiff 3 - Swansea 0

Swansea 1 - Sheffield Utd 2

Norwich 5 - Swansea 1

Swansea 0 - Coventry 2

The problem is glaringly obvious, we are shipping goals for fun. We need to address this first and get our defending right. Never mind the possession stats, the tippy-tappy sideways football, the weird tactics and substitutions, and playing players out of position.

Our problems have been exacerbated by our long serving top earner captain and key midfielder downing tools and asking to leave. He deserted us just when we needed him most, thanks a bunch Matt, loyalty my arrus, zero respect for him.

A sigh of relief that at least Darling didn’t move on. He will be serving the last of his three match suspension on Sunday and will be available for Sheff Wed a few days later.

So we are open to bringing in free agent players, here’s a link to the list on transfermarkt -
