Brexit

BBJ

Father Of The Forum
Did it really happen?
Or was it a Reality TV programme that has gone badly wrong?
What happened to the main participants?
Whilst it might be just about believeable that people like Boris Johnson, Liam Fox and David Davis have lost whatever brain cells they had to begin with, how feasible is it to believe that people like Theresa May and Amber Rudd have suddenly and unexplainably lost every last vestige of their common sense?
My explanation - and I want master-statitistician, Heathfield Road to pore over all the available evidence - is that the entire membership of the Conservative Party has been replaced by aliens from the little-known planet, Hewkipp.

ha.. very good

(although I will merge this to the European thread at some point, can't take two like this)

But yes, good point, it might have been a figment of our imagination!?

I am just hoping this legal challenge will win, on there being no vote on it in Parliament. Ye it is true everything you say

Stop trying to get me into trouble, BBJ!!!! :13:

However, now you mention it, I do see it makes sense. The only hole I can see is that all Politicians are aliens, anyway. Does that mean the Conservatives have been changed from one alien race to another?

I've been thinking that if someone like Fox could get a bill through Parliament denying citizenship to anyone born in the US, then Boris could get deported.
And if Scotland were to leave the UK, Fox himself might have to seek sanctuary in a friendly embassy.

I'm not sure what Theresa May is on, nor Davis and Fox.

The power has gone to their heads, and all this bluster about not letting parliament in on things is appalling. Whatever guff they come up with, the Eu will tell us to eff off in no uncertain terms, and off we'll go tail between our legs and the currency (and probably the economy) in freefall.

But at least we'll have control of our borders again, eh...? No one will want to come here anyway :19:

No MP's shouldn't decide if we leave the EU or not. Their bosses have already spoken.

I didn't read that the bankers had had a meeting with Theresa May about this.

I'm not saying this - we are leaving the EU, that's been decided.

But what we didn't vote for is for the likes of Liam Fox and David Davis, two totally committed Eurosceptics, and the wolf in sheeps' clothing that is Theresa May, to fuck it all up in their ham-fisted way.

At the very least, it should be debated in parliament what our broad aims should be. If that ends up being 'Hard Brexit', then fine. But to entrust the future of our country (and probably the Union) to Fox, Johnson and Davis is just the most appalling prospect.

Still, if this is what was voted for, so be it.

Have we stopped to think this might be being orchestrated by the reptilian people?

Afterall, the vote was done by a slug (Cameron) having been goaded by a toad (Farage)

Makes you think.

He's below a toads scrotum so thought we'd leave him out!

An amazing and vividly colourful expression - and particularly apt, if I may so so - but my question is do toads have them?

It would be funny if it wasn't so damn crazy. I state that as a Bremainer and proud of it

It looks like May is backing away from all of the promises of a 'hard' Brexit.

It won't be too long before someone from inside the Tories is sent out to fly a kite on forgetting about the whole thing.
