If only he had managed to have a policy on brexit (rather than sitting on the fence before and after the referendum), court rather than oppose the media (knowing that if he didn't there would be zero chance of electoral victory and enacting any of his policy dreams), quash the terrorist sympathiser bullshit (by condemning without equivocation rather than diluting it with "violence of all kinds", etc), show sufficient leadership to bring blairites onboard with his plans, and forcefully kick out antisemitism (rather than fannying around with definitions that had been widely accepted and were obviously political kryptonite).

Trident, minimum wage stupidity and his twattish replies to the 'shoot to kill' questions. It's the largest bullet dodged keeping him out of No10.

The only hope of Starmer winning the next election is dependent on what happens with Brexit and how much the Tories fuck over the poor. Anyone that thinks that Labour has got a better chance with Starmer are deluded. In this world of populism Labour and Starmer are going to struggle. Corbyn got elected as leader because he was viewed as anti-establisment. Trump got elected because he convinced the electorate he was anti-establishment. Boris got elected in the same way (anti-EU). Starmer makes no bones about being establishment and wanting to overturn the referendum result.

Corbyn WOULD have won the election without Brexit, media, 'terrorist sympathiser', Blairites and anti-Semitism
Totally disagree with most of that. Corbyn was never going to win as long as he had a hole in his arse.

Long before anything came out he was disliked. His politics were divisive, he came across as arrogant, unwilling to bend and judgemental.

I do agree that people previously wanted someone anti-establishment but Trump is unlikely to get a second term and Boris may not even last his first because people are already realising that voting for people who are anti-establishment are not necessarily the sane choice.

Whether Starmer will win is debatable but he has already got more chance than Corbyn and that is being reflected in polls and the media.

problem in the UK is people just pitch and swerve from one party to the other in the hope they get it right eventually

if starmer bases his whole idea on reversing brexit then he will alienate a large portion of his voters thats for sure

He may well gain as many as he loses though. It’s not like leave won by a landslide.

Well if you did understand it, it was a very weird comment made last night and Pie is having a go at the liberal left, not the traditional working class left. The liberal left being a massive reason why the working class have gone over to the right and this sums up the situation perfectly

You really only need to listen to the first one minute and 12 seconds. It is the left wing contingent of the labour party that he is having a pop at. RLB got sacked; "One of your own".

You're projecting.
Have another go.

But DeFuq wrote his material with all of his invented terms included.

true but I still suspect the leave beats the remain
Only just if at all and all the farting about and idiocy will have changed opinions.

The leave voters are split across a few parties so hoovering up the disenfranchised Remainers is not the worst tactic.

Am not commenting whether he should look to reverse Brexit as that’s a different discussion just that Starmers tactic is not necessarily a bad move.

The battle is lost. But the no deal shit absolutely has to be stopped if possible. Trouble is, Starmer won't want to lead that for fear of tossing the tories a bone to chew.

I see that Angela is warning that a no deal is likely as minimal progress is being made by the two parties. Have a closer look at my little series of parodies. Not so far from the truth me thinks.

ffs. We were told that the German car industry would tell Merkel to tell the EU to sign a free trade agreement because they need us more than we need them.

Actually, we were told that David Davis would go to BMW directly and strike a deal. What happened?

Not sure what planet you're living on.
