it all could have been so different if Stevie G hadn't slipped. Oh and they hadn't thrown away a 0-3 lead against Crystal Palace....and he hadn't splurged a gazillion £ on average players

Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool boss sacked by club

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34423344

Arse fans going crackers as the news takes the limelight from them after their humbling of the scum.

They'll be partying for a week on Merseyside if my Twitter is anything to go by - the fans have been scathing about him for quite a while now

I am sure Lawrenson was effusive in his praise about Rodgers three years ago, assured he was "just the man for the Liverpool job".....I say this as I heard him getting VERY excited about the prospect of Klopp as their manager (whilst expunging from his memory his support for Rodgers).

I am sure Lawrenson was effusive in his praise about Rodgers three years ago, assured he was "just the man for the Liverpool job".....I say this as I heard him getting VERY excited about the prospect of Klopp as their manager (whilst expunging from his memory his support for Rodgers).

Do you remember when they signed Ballotelli, Lawrenson said it was a no brainer and made perfect sense. When they shipped him out, he said they should never have got him in the first place.

Anyway, it looks like Klipperty will be in by the end of the week.

I distinctly recall Lawro's pronouncements that "Balotelli was worth it" ....and have all heard him bang on about how he was never a good fit for Liverpool.

The silence over how Rodgers was shafted has been notable and defeaning from the scouse media types and I cannot help but contrast it to the "despicable" and "humiliating way in which Leslie Hughes was treated". Seemed to me they went on for days over what a "disgrace" City was and how the owners had "no morals" or similar etc :blah!:

I think the difference with the Hughes and Rodgers scenario is that the press were aware Hughes was gone before it was announced. To be fair to Liverpool they managed to keep it under wraps whereas we didn't because at the time we were as leaky as a sieve.

I'm not condoning the way they behaved towards us at the time but I think the two situations have that distinct difference.
