Thank god football is back.

How are we all feeling of the season ahead ?

Where will you be viewing from on Saturday?

I'm really looking forward to seeing some progress and more attacking intent. The players look like they're enjoying themselves and have bought into Nunoball.
Anything from 15th-10th should be season as excellent progress.
I think we're going to cause a few surprises.
I'm looking forward to be being back in the TE for the new season.
COYR!

It's completely out of character for me but I am feeling a degree of optimism about this season, & looking to finish somewhere between 13th - 15th, If we can improve our set piece defending by 25%, improve our game management, & get a fair deal from VAR then That should give us at least another 6 points from last year, add the 4 points that we lost to PSR the that gives us 10 more points.
As usual I will be viewing or listening from the comfort of home, waiting for the TV schedules to be announced for November before deciding on our annual corporate visit, got caught out by date change for TV last year

I will be watching at the WFCG for what I think will be the first time in about 17/18 years. Fairly sure last game I went to at WFCG was against Ipswich. I used to always watch with my Grandad when I was younger who was a life long season ticket holder. I carried this on after I moved darn sarf and would always go to games with him when I came up to see him. So that stopped really when he was too old to keep up his season ticket then passed away. Will be a bit of an emotional trip as well as enjoyable.

Post terraces we would usually sit in upper Brian Clough. I have front row seat in Brian Clough lower for this one and am as excited as whatever is really an excited thing.

Optimistic for the season ahead. Hoping an easier start than last year and a more settled team and environment will kick start us early season.

Just for a change, I will probably be listening to Colin Fray and co on a motorway rather than sitting in the man cave.

Bloody teenage grandsons and their birthdays...

I'm away this week so won't be at the match

This is the kind of game you need to aim to win 1-0 or 2-0 keeping things tight at the back

I dont doubt we are playing nice football and will have plenty of the ball

I do doubt we have sorted our defence well enough to keep a clean sheet though

So getting the result we want may be harder than we expect

Heart says home win

Head says draw or one goal defeat which is what we are used to at home against teams like this

I'm expecting we will play with back 4 because we don't give Bournemouth same respect we give a big club

Which has barely worked in the past against the lesser clubs at home

Saturday Will tell alot.

Hoping we won't fall apart at set pieces this season and that we are better ourselves at the other end.

I will be in the trent end.

Wasn't we the 4th best team at defending set pieces in the last quarter of the season?

while I begrudgingly have to accept our defence is still a work in progress, (although even here we have improved); one thing we absolutely can do is score goals, provided we don't entertain stupid ideas like sell elanga.

I probably wouldn't bet on a clean sheet but I do think we can score more than them.
