Boreham Wood (n/g)

One game away from the Football League. If they make it up they would surely be the smallest side to play in the league, given their resources and fan base (ave. attendance 679).

There's a large part of me that hopes they do manage to overturn Tranmere and get a crack at League Two next season.

From what I can tell, they've got a bit of a moneybags owner don't they? They've gone about redeveloping their ground to suit Arsenal Reserves.

But there are some posters on here who would say that Boreham is not a "proper league team" like Tranmere.

Yeah, as others have pointed out to my knowledge they don’t have a moneybags owner. The Arsenal deal is just similar to what Arsenal had with Barnet. It’s just another form of income. Presumably Arsenal help keep their pitch in decent nick too, and they’re renowned for it. You only need to see Beckenham’s pitch, I think their groundsman used to be Arsenal’s?! Fantastic!

I don’t mind Tranmere. Went there once with Gills on the Big Al Awayday Special. A scenic walk from Rock Ferry station. And we should know about scenic urban walks from the station.

B/Wood has a highly rated manager in Luke Garrard and their squad is one of the most talented in the National League. Having said that, it`s difficult to think that the Arsenal link is not a factor in their recent success. Good luck to them at Wembley, they are clear under-dogs but, you never know....... I hope they win, but mainly as Tranmere bring large numbers to Mill Farm which boosts the coffers of AFC Fylde.

if we found ourselves back in league 2, is rather be playing the teams like Tranmere, orient and chesterfield than forest green and b/wood.
