The ~perfidious French ~ have ever been thus.

Sadly, if we leave the EU under the current terms, the issues like this will get worse, not better.
 
Javed has echoed what I suggested .....If you are an asylum seeker why come all the way to the UK. The first safe country is far enough. As he implied....they are economic migrants.

He has been criticised for his words of course , accusations of being uncaring floating about.

Interestingly the 2 border patrol boats brought back to UK waters were operating in the Mediterranean. Stopping North African and Middle Eastern migrants crossing into Greece and Italy !! WTF are our boats doing helping EU members after the way we have been treated. They should have been called back long ago.
 
6 more made it undetected this morning, left their dinghy on the beach and were apprehended walking the streets. Of course they want to be found....no point hiding .

Tragic event re. 39 that perished in a refrigerated container. Hope all those responsible are brought to justice and we tighten up on inspections. Lorries are seen as by the easiest route for trafficking or hiding to make a crossing. There isn't a week/month goes by without hearing of stowaways found either wandering on motorways or at services. Then the incident of the guy that fell out a plane. FFS seems all the onus is on Britain to engage more inspectors on our shores. Not sure Brexit will improve matters.
