Doubt Swansea can afford him.

Doubt we can find a suitable replacement in January either.

If we could find a suitable replacement... :bye:

Difficult to understand why we bought him.

Do you think? The best we've ever seen Aguero play is when he had a robust, physical partner to feed off in Negredo. If there was anyone Prem proven that could provide the attributes that Negredo brought it was Bony.

As it transpired we stopped playing 4-4-2 and the theory never got a chance to be put into practice.

I thought he was a good buy as he offered a different option to Aguero rather than simply a like for like replacement (although easier said than done). Perhaps part of the problem is that regardless of how well he plays he will always be second fiddle to Aguero whereas at Swansea he was always their numero uno numero nine. Were Aguero to be less injury prone it might be nice to see KI72 stepping up as his deputy but since this is not the case we really need three strikers - where to find one in January....?

He's also suffered a couple of injuries, plus he had malaria in the summer. I don't think we've seen him at his best yet.

I was curious as to why Yaya made his recent comments about Bony and how he could be a great player if he devoted himself to his profession and didn't get side-tracked so much.

I didn't know whether he meant he had other business interests or whether he was a party animal. I'll assume it was the latter given that very few business interests can be as financially rewarding as being a successful Premier League footballer.

This might be why we haven't seen the best of him and why we're moving him on - if it's true.

Maybe CZ has nailed it, but he hasn't been seen to be trying too much. Even if the way we played didn't suit him he could have least done a bit of chasing the ball!

I agree JK and he could prove very useful if used correctly, but I still say he can at least try harder in a given position.
