Bob standing down?

According to BBC Lincolnshire's interview Bob is considering his future at Lincoln City. Is Clive gonna be the new Chairman then?

How old is Bob. Late 60's I presume. He took a fair bit of stick in the dark days but has kept going and is probably showing a financial loss for what he has put in to the club. I would understand if he fancies a slightly quieter life as a member of the board and fan and would wish him all the best in whatever decision he makes

Has he got any outstanding loans and would he be entitledto call them in if he resigned as a director?

Wonder if one of the new board members will do it as Clive is going to struggle living abroad?

I would suggest there would be no problem in any new chairman being overseas, with VTC, conference calls, such as meet me etc there are no real issues. How many board meetings in a season 3 or 4 ? Those will be attended as I would suggest they are now. Can even watch all the games in the sun with a nice glass of red. The club runs itself day to day with the Chf Exec so no issues there.

Hope Bob can stay around until new stadium comes to fruition, either as chairman or life president as suggested.
He DID keep the club going through a long period of dire finances presumably at considerable personal cost.
We fans might have managed a decent bit of fund raising, but for several consecutive yeara and figures most likely significantly over £250k and repeatedly.
I have never heard what Bob's personal wealth is but he must have put a LOT of it into the club. I do know he is a lifelong supporter and we should all salute him.
He even had to cope with a lot of terrace abuse too.
I hope the new stadium can recognise Bob's contribution appropriately.
The Dorrian stand or something of that nature.

Oh and he has ALWAYS been willing to talk with supporters at any time. Highly approachable. Very decent guy all round.
Also readily acknowledges his mistakes but they were always errors made with the best of intentions.

I remember an idiot yelling at him one game in the echo in the conference.I think the bloke thought there were Arabs etc queuing up around the the block to bail Lincoln out.

Bob kept the club alive under all kinds of hassle from these kind of individuals.

I think Lincoln will always owe one to him. When Waterfall was lifting the the trophy at Wembley with Bob behind him. I thought you deserve this as much as anyone.

What ever your desicion thanks for keeping us alive.

Agreed, decisions anyone of use would or could have made in that position. We as fans do not know the true picture of the club behind the boardroom door. As I recall quite a number of City fans welcomed the appointment of one particular manager and look what happened. Hindsight is a wonderful thing !

Agree with everything said on here. If he is seriously thinking of standing down, I think he can be mightily proud of his contribution. He's seen the club through possibly the worst phase in its history and think the fact he has stuck by the club and put so much of his own life and money into it speaks volumes for his love of the club and his dedication to it. He's been rewarded by the current success the club is enjoying and it must be such a pleasure for him, and his family. If he does stand down I for one agree that he thoroughly deserves a role as life president or something equally befitting his contribution.
