Chris Coleman sacked
That's rumour on social media. Was it Ex-Ref talking about Coleman leaving Sunderland to go to Ipswich a while ago?
Very unlikely after signing their new deals. It's been a busy hour for SAFC. Sacked Coleman, club sold and Ellis Short says he's paid off the £150,000,000 debt. Mind the last one sounds too good to be true.
Anyway it's cheered up a lot of Sunderland fans. I hope you'll be visiting The SOL in 2018-19. I did post on here (with my tongue in my cheek) as last season was beginning that maybe the Cowley brothers could come to Sunderland after back to back promotions with Lincoln City. I hope you'll get the back to back promotions but I think we'd be too far North for Danny and Nicky.

Yep he released a statement earlier saying they're up for sale.£150 million debt? Surely not!
Presumably Stewart Donald will have to sell Eastleigh now - do FA rules prevent ownership of two clubs simultaneously?

It is not all bad news for Sunderland they still get £35m parachute payment for next season and £14m the season after. If the debt has been paid off that is one hell of a budget in L1, compare that to the £1m Accrington have said they will have. It doesn't seem fair to me, being rewarded for failure on such a massive scale.

Did Donald also invest in Oxford? or did that never come to fruition?
