Like last week i may not have time to post on satdi,so that's why i'm startin this a day early.Hopefully no more surprise injuries and perhaps start Brooksy wi Jesu on't bench.I tip a 2-1 win wi goals from Soutts & Burrows, but it could be a difficult game cos they were unlucky last week.I wonder if Andre Dozzell will play for Pompey? Not confident now made a rash decision at the start of the week and backed a Sheffield double @ 3/1 🫣

Not an easy game but our defence fill me with confidence. O’Hare needs to improve, the first game he looked a real threat but he seems to go missing for long periods. Personally I would drop him and play Rak Sakhi and Brooks with Hamer going central.

Not a bad suggestion that re; Jesu & Brooksy BFL.Have a luvly weekend BLADES folk.UTB

I don't want to be too over confident, but we're a far better team than them. Callum Lang's out injured which is a boost as he's been their standout player, Colby Bishop's still injured. Portsmouth are a very limited League One looking team.

We'll see an interesting battle between Peck and Pack as well. Young v old. They'll try and wind Peck up.

If you look at O'Hare's heat map he's covering every blade of grass. He's putting the graft in and giving us the amount of work rate he wasn't asked to provide at Coventry. I certainly wouldn't drop him but Wilder may need to be more economical with how he's used.

100%, O'Hare is a must start for me but yes we need to manage him better. They've all only played half a dozen games though and it takes time to settle, but I love watching him play and he's been a part if a lot of the good stuff that's happened so far. Sakhi Is the one who's not shown enough IMO, as it stands, I'd give Brooks the nod right now with the same formation.

O'Hare should start around 3 out of 4 games.

I'd leave him out for this one.

Cooper
Gilchrist Souttar Anel Burrows
Peck Souza
Brooks Hamer Sakyi
Moore

Sakyi on the left is the best way to get service to Moore. Burrows isn't providing enough, so we need someone to get down that side and get crosses in. They won't come from the right side either with Gilchrist. The team we have is much more suited to a striker whose strength is receiving the ball to feet and working space to shoot.

Clean sheet please
I think this is more difficult than the league suggests
But, we aren’t looking to bad, and we will give any team a game

Rod, do you ever forecast anything other than a 2-1 win?
You’ve not been right all season BUT (as a superstitious type) please keep it going until we lose, then change it.
I’d certainly accept that. As everyone knows, football is completely unpredictable and therefore, we could get any result today.

P.S. To the gamblers among you; the best value for money bet of the weekend has gone.
Plymouth at 3-1, having beaten Sunderland in their last home game, at home to Luton who, according to unbiased reports, were “outplayed” by Wednesday last week. Those sorts of opportunities don’t come along that often, and they don’t always win, but if you’re serious about making a profit, they are the chances you should wait for.

Cooper very good again. I'm liking everything about him.

We've done alright but should have managed more shots.

O'Hare done nothing. Just looks like losing the ball. Get him off, get another winger on.

We also have to stop giving away pointless fouls. It's interrupted us massively so far.

Honestly, to say they have had 11 corners, we haven’t been put under that much pressure, bit more composure, we can get something from this game

No surprise to see us fire a blank. Hamer can't do it every game. Certain players have failed to contribute their share this season. Moore scoring 1 in 7 is a joke. O'Hare has been disappointing full stop. Nothing from Sakyi, Brooks, Brewster or Campbell. It's not good enough but it's not surprising.

There's a league to be won this season and we haven't bothered to give ourselves the required attacking options.

Defence on the other hand looks more than good enough. We've only conceded in 2 of the 7 games.

We could afford this draw today, given the other results. Only 3 points off the top.

But this wasn't one of the harder games. When they do come along it remains to be seen how we cope.

We don’t really look like scoring if I’m honest never felt in any danger but we should have lost lad should bury that free header from the corner cooper stood no chance, spoils go to the ref who stopped any flow to the game and cost us another 20k fine at the end

We shouldn't have been stupid enough to give him the chance to blow the whistle so often.

They clearly weren't good enough to break us down, other than from a set piece. We should have been more willing to allow them possession rather than give away a needless foul that will lead to us being camped on the edge of our box, wasting another minute or two. It happened again and again. And it played a part in all the bloody corners they had.

Cooper looks like being the real deal doesn’t he? Very impressed with him so far, he looks a snip at £2m. No wonder the Plymouth fans thought we’d robbed them.
