BLADES v Hatters at BDBL

We were really good today, start to finish. Another good performance from Brewster as well, if he can get off the mark soon it could make our season.

We won the 50:50 battles today across the pitch... we need to do this consistently if we are thinking of returning to the Prem

Quite pleasing in the eye today
I am never comfortable, even though there was only one winner
Clean sheet…….love it!!!!
I am torn, I want us to win every game, but, not sure I want us to get promotion
IMO we wont have the funds to enable us to stay in the prem ( if promoted) BUT, if we don’t get promotion, I fear we will lose most if not all our stars!!!!
Oh, I know most will give Rak-Sakyi MOM
But for me Souttar was superb!!!!

I don't expect we'll get an Edwards 'tactical masterclass' video for this one. Total control in the game limiting Luton to a couple of half chances.

JRS, Souttar and Vini all superb. He's still dividing opinion but O'Hare for me had an improved game and the atmosphere was better than Wednesday's Swansea wake.

The most pleasing thing is no fifth yellows for Hamer and Vini and how well Wilder's rotated the squad this week. It feels like all the squad is playing a part.

Totally agree with O'Hare. I thought (while accepting not everything came off for him)) he covered every inch of the pitch.

I think O'Hare's going to be one of those players who divides opinion. Deadbeat's given him another rating I don't agree with.

O'Hare's doing a lot of pressing and getting in the way of opposition passes, I know it's not the sexy stuff we want to see from an attacking midfielder but it's key to getting results. his heat maps show he's everywhere.

We were the main game on the EFL highlights programme last night think it’s shown again this morning for anyone that doesn’t record it or just get it on catch up 🤷‍♂️ It was all us btw and edwards admitted as much afterwards

Its the Montgomery Syndrome. The ability to be both the best and worst player on the pitch at the same time.

Easily the most complete performance of the season.

How much was down to Luton being bad, I'm not sure. Or us catching them out with Arblaster's selection. But I thought it was clear that the changes we made improved us. Brewster gave a better balance, and played well. Moore was less isolated. We should play this way more often than not at home. I'd like to see yesterday's line up but with Hamer in for O'Hare.

It's good for Sakyi to get off the mark. He'll be a regular scorer now. Still Brooks and O'Hare to go. No one would have believed that O'Hare and Moore would have a combined 1 goal from 18 appearances. It's shocking and needs to change very soon.

Moore played well again though, otherwise. O'Hare did alright, but you expect more from your supposed creator in chief than just pressing well. He shouldn't be starting at Leeds.

Everybody played well, Wilder managed it well, I just thought he should've brought Peck on for Souza after 70 minutes to avoid the booking risk.

That’s 2 full games now Souza has played without getting booked so he can put in disciplined performances and I don’t think he lost anything by doing it so that’s the standard from now on, was surprised hamer was left out but maybe that was cotton wool for Leeds what with him being on 4 yellows whether it was or wasn’t it worked and we got through it 2 weeks to get everyone fit now already seen a pic of o’hare at the airport this morning dunno how long they have got off hopefully no more than 4 or 5 days so we can prepare properly for our biggest test of the season so far

I also think Blaster had a very good game, the lad looks a real thoroughbred to me.I agre re; O'hare and also Keifor Moore is playin very well.i'm desperate for Rhian to get a goal cos he's workin very hard for the team in my opinion.A very good win for the BLADES and a BIG well done to the Manager & staff for how they've used the squad this week.UTB
