We had a terrible transfer window with regards to strikers. Messed McBurnie about and ran out of money in the last week, to add a loan striker. I thought Moore would be better but he is holding nothing up. He should be bringing the likes of Hamer, O’Hare, Brewster and Rak Sakhi into play but every time it goes up to him we end up back pedalling and defending. The problem is Campbell or Brewster are not suited to be a lone target man, unless we run the channels more.Yet again got what we deserved been piss poor JRS had the beating of his man but there was no one in the middle for him I know Moore is isolated up top but he has to put himself about more and just be stronger thought he was weak tonight as well as static the midfield stood off their men and runners were left souttar had about 70% possession in the first half, cooper showing his worth tonight but yet again left exposed as their player had all the time in the world to pick out lathe in the middle who finished with aplomb
He has no plan BOk I've mostly kept my powder dry for my customary 10+ games but point kidding ourselves. Even though we’ve started the season well enough, we haven’t got a single goal scoring striker. A quarter into the season and our out and out strikers have scored 1 goal between them. And some of our supposed top players haven't reached anything like the form they’re capable of. We’ve based our hopes on probably the best keeper and 2 centre backs in the division plus Vinnie's resurrection. The kids have made up the rest of the plus points thus far but we know they’re always going to be hit and miss. We’re just too toothless and light weight in key areas. The recruitment wasn't completed.
And I might as well say it, I'm still not enamoured with Wilder's tactics, in fact I'm totally brassed of with his plucky little underdogs portrayal of the club and his players. He might get away with that in the PL but at this level it doesn't bleeding wash with me!

The last I heard there wasn't enough money in the United World kitty to sack Beerschot's hapless manager TT, so it looks to me like we're stuck with what we've got unless he decides he's had enough again. This was inevitable.
Prince saves face and gets CW back on board- and CW gets him out of a hole, temporarily BUT the reckoning was going to come when/if things didn't go well.
So, does the prince get rid again or de we wait for the flounce?
What a mess but, as many said, bringing him back was a flawed move.CW sat thinking he is untouchable and doing F All about it with negative tactics and the oft heard excuses regurgitated whilst the prince has to sit tight or compound his error by getting rid again.
Whoever does what to who, the Second Coming was always the wrong decision.
The Messiah has abbreviated his name and all we are left with is a MESS.
Agree with that. Wilder has limitations but the failure to sign 2 more decent strikers will potentially cost us £150 million. We have a solid good Championship team but nothing up front. It means our defence and 2 defensive midfielders are up against constant pressure. If I was Rohl I would go all guns blazing for the derby, it’s not like their defenders have much to worry about. Moore, Brewster and Campbell will struggle to get 10 goals between them all season. The plan can not possibly have been to play Moore and O'Hare together as the regular first choice attack.
It is the most woefully unsuitable combination you could come up with.
We're seeing the very clear consequences of refusing to complete our recruitment. That rests with that stupid cu nt Abdullah.
We need to aim to get Brereton and McBurnie back in January if we're serious about going up.
Defence alone isn't enough because in games like the last 2, you invariably concede, and if you can't score for shit...... you get exactly what we got. Losing both these games to nil is a fair reflection of where we are.
We just need to keep flat track bullying our way until January and hope to be within 6-8 points of 2nd. We've obviously surrendered to Leeds but Burnley are clearly nothing special this season (Parker) and that needs to be our hope.
Because "our Chris" he is tactically inept. We bought McBurnie and for most of his time with us we played in a style that didn't suit him - hence he was extremely unpopular with fans, and unproductive as a striker.
Rinse, repeat, here we are again with Kieffer Moore.
Why does Wilder do this?
They see what we are about GrayThe last I heard there wasn't enough money in the United World kitty to sack Beerschot's hapless manager TT, so it looks to me like we're stuck with what we've got unless he decides he's had enough again.
I've really no idea why Wilder so readily felt the need to play the plucky little underdogs card batting above their level again. We were unbeaten and had gained more points than any team in the division going into these games. We should be talking ourselves up, chest out and playing with a swagger, not hanging on and hoping like a minnow in the FA cup. We started both games well, but I think that was more down to both Leeds and Boro being genuinely wary of us initially. Once they realised what they were up against, I think both teams grew in confidence, released the shackles and really came at us, something we seem incapable of doing even if we're losing. Like Ray says, there's no plan B and unlike Leeds and Boro, we don't seem to have that extra gear to change to. I've read opposing fans saying how we never had to get out of second gear as a compliment when we've beat them, but I think that's just the way we are. Partly down to the team management and partly down to what they've got at their disposal in the final third.
