We need a BIG improvement in our performance from friday if we're to win at Boro.I would hope Sydie comes in for Vini and we go back to a back 4.I think it could be a 1-1 draw,Anel scorin for us.UTB
 
Very mediocre start to the season from Boro. A lot of good stats about their play but they don't take their chances and have a soft defensive centre. Very beatable, but considering our recent record there not by us.

A goal and a point would be acceptable. Perform like we did at Fratton Park and Elland Road though and we'll lose.

In between telling us what a nice time he had in Teeside Wilder hinted that Shackleton would be replacing Vini. Jamie or a high seat chair in the middle of the pitch ? Not sure which I prefer.

A pointless waste of an opportunity to debut the inevitable Peck - Arblaster partnership then.

But even with Shackleton I expect us to move the ball better in there than we do with Souza.
 
Surely Wilder will go back to 4-2-3-1, but you never know because he is stubborn. With our strongest team we should win.
I would go with this.

Gilchrist Anel Souttar Burrows
Arblaster Peck
Rak Sakyi Hamer Brewster (or Brooks)
Moore

When Peck came on at Leeds we did improve for 10 minutes, Shacketon has energy but he looked out of his depth last Friday.
I wish Wilder would stop picking teams to nulify the other team and just concentrate on our strengths. This squad is a match for any team in the league and we should not be dumbing that down.

Correct team choice 0-2, Wilder weird defensive choice 0-0.
 
Expecting another dour defensive lineup - because that's what Wilder does these days. A draw would be a good result.

5th October 1997 was the last time we beat Boro away i believe,so hopefully the footballing Gods will realise we're overdue a win there,Tonights The Night(fingers crossed) We have won 45 to their 43 and 23 draws in the history of games between us.UTB

Its a catch 22 Rod - I don't think Wilder is going to take us much further, but until we get some decent investment (if ever) we aren't going to go much further anyway.

Sad but true unfortunately. TBH I could come to the match on Saturday, but I am not enjoying watching us at the moment so not sure if I want to - it costs a lot more these days, and takes a lot longer on the M1?!

I think had we signed a decent penalty box striker,who could sign 15 goals or so a season in the summer,we'd be in with a gr8 chance of finishin in the play offs at least,but alas we dint sign one.I've enjoyed most of our home games this season and i'm still a Wilder fan but i do respect your opinion Germaine. I'm glad i'm a season ticket holder cos if i wasn't i'd be thinkin is it worth what the club charges for match tickets now.UTB
