Blades History

Lifted over the turnstiles? ;) My Dad used to lift me over. It got a bit embarrassing when I reached 16.

That's a good guess - my parents told me they would even take me in a pram and lift me and/or my brother over, when I was a baby or young child (my brother's a bit older than me).

But, no, whilst it's a good guess, it's not correct. The reason I wouldn't have been counted in the attendance if I was there that day was ... because I was a foetus!

Hence, whenever anyone asks me how long I've been a Blade, or how long I've been going to watch United, my reply is always the same: "All my life, and then some!" meaning, of course, that I started supporting United and going to matches before I was even born! 😀

😁 I suppose working on that theory, I may have attended as a sperm head. :ROFLMAO:😉
